(bravo tong!! tanpa UP!! ) about her cooking style...ehehe..still remember the spagetti she's made...and her artistic side..</span></div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><span style="caret-color: rgb(28, 30, 33); color: #1c1e21; letter-spacing: -0.41px; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="letter-spacing: -0.41px;">8. zenia : our shopping queen...just don't mix her up with yanu and aimee together or you'll end up never get out from the shopping mall..wekekeke..just kidding zen..she's also our moody queen..but i guess edw has tamed her.. wkwkkww... i can't recall how long ago since she had bad mood since i never in the same lab as her during our young doctor period. she might seem childish but sometimes she could give wise advice. she's also religious in her own way..ah, and she's also has extraordinary style. sometimes i wonder, where did she get the gut to wear those clothes? and she's also caring in her own way. one last advice, don't sit next to her if she's mad, because her voice is loud.. peace zen.. (kalo cacing mah kecil..) but no matter how much she ate, she couldn't gain weight much..</span></div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><span style="caret-color: rgb(28, 30, 33); that i know that i could turn to you guys anytime. for those who still fighting...don't give up..it didn't mean that you're a failure, it's just bad luck because i know you're all marvelous the stars land<div>I watched this because of lee je hoon. i watched him in taxi driver and remembered that he played in signal as well. so, i was curious about this drama as this one is a different genre from the other two. can he do romantic drama as well?</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a assigned to the passenger service team after a year working at the incheon airport. though she was still new, her track record was bad. she's known as a trouble maker. though it wasn't all her fault, really. she's just mainly clumsy and sometimes her emotion got he best of her. while lee soo yeon (lee je hoon) is a quiet and secretive man. he's also in the passenger service team. though he only worked there for a year as well, since he had better record, he was told to be yeo rum's supervisor. their different personality made them argue sometimes, but soo yeon hid a secret from yeo rum.</div><div><br /></div><div>at work, both of them started to have arguments regarding how to solve problems at the airport. yeo rum wanted to prove that she's worthy to be in the team, while soo yeon preferred to stay hidden, and being with yeo rum made him stand out. yeo rum has another best friend at the airport, ko eun seob (rowoon). at first eun seob pretended that they were just friends. but when he wanted to make yeo rum as his someone special, yeo rum has fallen in love with soo yeon instead. </div><div><br /></div><div>on the airport, there are other people like the passenger service manager, yang seo koon (kim ji soo). she's a cold and strict lady, but she's warm hearted and a bit partial toward soo yeon because of her brother. her brother has similar condition to soo yeon, that's why she helped soo yeon covering his past so he could work at the airport. apparently, even though she looks like a single lady, she was married to the head of the security team, choi moo ja (lee sung wook). she's been served the divorce paper but never signed it yet. their relationship is a bit funny though. they look cold on the outside but they care for each other secretly. </div><div><br /></div><div>while in security team, thanks to a case, yeo rum made friends with oh dae ki (kim kyung nam) and na young joo (lee soo kyung). dae ki is a bit warm hearted and friendly while young joo is cold on the outside and a bit weird. she pretended to have a boyfriend while in fact she had no one. at the end we saw that dae ki has feeling for young joo and vice versa, but the later is reluctant to admit it. however, at the end, she was forced to admit her feelings and it was really cute.</div><div><br /></div><div>the problem occurred mainly because soo yeon's condition. apparently he had first degree disability, which meant he had problems with either his arms or legs. the fact was when he was young, he was involved in an accident because he was chasing his half brother, seo in woo (lee dong gun) who was involved in trouble. but his brother left him when he was hit by the car. the accident made him couldn't move his right arm and right leg, so he had to be in a wheelchair. he almost took his own life because he didn't want to be talked about or looked at for being in a wheelchair. when he almost took his life, yoo reum's dad stopped him and later introduced him to the person that would made him the prosthetic arms and legs, so he could move again. yoo reum's dad once showed him yoo reum's picture and later on his adult life, he's met yoo reum twice before they started working together at the airport. </div><div><br /></div><div>however, in woo showed up again as airport planning operation manager, and he was persistent to kick soo yeon from the airport team. even soo yeon thought that the problem was in woo didn't want anyone else knew that he was involved in the accident that caused him to be a disable person. while in fact, in woo was involved with a dangerous and shady businessman who got them into the accident years ago. he tried to let loose from them but didn't success. so he wanted soo yeon to be kicked out from the team to protect him, in case the bad guys found out that he was his half brother and used him to threaten in woo. at the end, soo yeon knew the real reason but it was a bit too late. </div><div><br /></div><div>the problem with soo yeon's prosthetic was sometimes it was malfunction when he was around yoo reum. and he overused it. he was supposed to take a rest from using it, but he overused it to save yoo reum and in woo. at the end, he was told to choose between dying or letting it go. he wanted to just die instead of trying again, but yoo reum persuaded him to try again and he agreed at last. after a year, we saw at the end a glimpse of soo yeon got back at the airport, but we never saw his face.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- this is my first time watching an airport's life situation. i never think about problem that could occur because of simple thing like advertising banner at the airport. thanks to this drama, i get better understanding about airport's life. </div><div>- most of the actors and actress are good. however, i think lee je hoon better stick to action/thriller drama instead of romantic one. somehow i feel he's a bit flat as a romantic guy. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- the storyline is a bit complicated. like how soo yeon is connected to yoo reum's dad. but yoo reum's dad was died at the end? and what about in woo's dad? how is is possible that a son can't recognize his own dad? and do they reconcile at the end? </div><div>- there's too many side stories. like the history between the T2 director and the transportation service manager. and manager yang and manager choi. and dae ki and young joo. though the last couple is my favorite though. they're cute.</div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 7/10</div><div>binge worthy: so-so</div><div>recommended for: someone who like airport life drama, fans of lee je hoon, chae soo bin, and rowoon, don't have problem with slow moving plot and a bit flat drama. driveri've heard good stuff about this drama, but i was watching doom first since i want to take a break from intense drama, and i heard that taxi driver is quite intense. this is the second drama of lee je hoon, oh wait, scratch that.. the third drama that i watched (the others are signal and move to heaven, and both are good). i bet this one is another good one since i keep hearing people praising this drama.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a width="400" /></a></div>title: taxi driver<div>cast: lee je hoon, esom, kim eui sung, pyo ye jin</div><div>genre: crime story/life story</div><div><br /></div><div>kim do gi (lee je hoon) was an officer in the special forces. he was the only son and he lived together with his mother. however, when he was on a break, he found his mother killed by a serial murder. he felt helpless and lost his way. that's when he met jang sung chul (kim eui sung). sung chul was a CEO of a taxi company, but he had another project on his "rainbow taxi" company. rainbow taxi acted as a front for his secret organization that helps victim's family to get revenge since they couldn't get it by law. sung chul recruited do gi to be the taxi driver that delivered revenge based on the client's demand. they didn't work together. with the help of ahn go eun (pyo ye jin), a cashier/computer hacker that joined the rainbow taxi to avenge her elder sister's suicide, and the technician duo, choi kyung goo (jang hyuk jin) and park jin eon (bae yoo ram) who both joined the company to avenge their brother/sister's death.</div><div><br /></div><div>unfortunately, the team's case overlapped with kang ha na (esom)'s case, a prosecutor from seoul northern district office. ha na was straight and she wanted all criminals to be punished fairly by law, thus she didn't approve of some of the rainbow taxi's team work even though they worked against the criminal as well. she believed no matter what the reason was, the criminal should be judged by the law. thus she started to chase after the team after a main suspect from her case released from custody but kidnapped on his way home after being released. after that they stumbled on several cases, making ha na became suspicious of do gi.</div><div><br /></div><div>there are some cases in the drama, but one by one we saw the connection between the cases and the crew member of rainbow taxi. from the killer of sung chul's parents, to go eun's sister ex-boyfriend that apparently contributed to the sex tape that was recorded without her sister's knowledge. the drama also presented a true story of a company worker abuse by a famous IT company CEO. they used a real story as background, but the rest i don't know for sure. in the drama, they connected the IT company to the illegal sex video cloud in which go eun's sister sex tape was stored. </div><div><br /></div><div>they also took care of bullying case gone bad (gee.. the bullying portrayed here was quite severe as the victim got into accident) and the last case was about the real killer of do gi and sung chul's parents. this was their last case as their previous case went awry. the suspects that have been kept in underground prison managed to escape thus creating some problems along the way. ha na's colleague ended up getting killed while trying to capture the devil twins of the loanshark lady whom sung chul got in agreement with to keep all his prisoners. after that incident, ha na was tempted to use the rainbow taxi's service. all the rainbow taxi's crew promised that after catching the twins, they would give themselves up. but the story of the real killer was put over sung chul's desk. fortunately, they didn't have to do anything since the real killer did the damage himself. he injured his own son who apparently worked as prison guard in the same prison thus he failed to visit his dementia mother that got his mother into accident for seeing someone as her son and tried to follow him. sung chul at first didn't want to reveal the son's identity, but at the end, he did and it gave a big blow to the psycopath. </div><div><br /></div><div>after that case, the whole team seemed to be on their separate ways. sung chul kept being a taxi CEO since his prosecutor friend decided not to accept him surrendering himself and chose to be removed from his position and became a defender for victim's family, working alongside with sung chul again. do gi travelled around the world, but at the end we saw he got a call from sung chul, asking for his return. the mechanic duo went back to their previous workplace, but later we saw they got a message from their rainbow taxi's beeper. while go eun passed her civil service exam and became a patrol officer and still helping rainbow taxi. while ha na still worked as a prosecutor, but at the end we saw her join forces with rainbow taxi crew. could this be a sign for second season?</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- excellent acting from all actors and actresses even the supporting ones. though i don't quite like the supporting actors and actresses from the IT company period. it seemed ridiculous that punks worked for high-earning IT company. </div><div>- interesting story without any plot hole, though since there are so many cases in the drama, i was confused with the names as usual. too many supporting roles as the cases opened and closed one by one.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- some scenes don't make sense, like the hacking part, all scenes involving accidents and explosions. well, at least the effects are better than vagabond, but still.. </div><div>- can we say that the secret lair under sung chul's house is a bit too much? won't the neighbor at least complained and told the police that they saw the black taxi coming to and going from sung chul's house when being questioned? </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 9/10</div><div>binge worthy: totally yes</div><div>recommended for: thrill seeker and crime story lover. maybe lee je hoon's fans that wanted to see him in action again. at your service<div>i might be a little bit to late to jump in the wagon, but i'm a bit hesitant about this drama. mainly because i don't get fantasy theme. sometimes the ending or the explanation don't get me. i do know that fantasy means it might be irrational ending, might be unthinkable, but still, it irks me. anyway, people has been hyping this drama mainly because this is the first drama that seo in guk played in after he finished his military service? i do adore park bo young though, so i'm about 50-50. call me weird, but i watched some spoilers first before deciding to watch this, and i'm more drawn into the second couple, so i decided to give it a shot.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a width="300" /></a></div>title: doom at your service<div>cast: seo in guk, park bo young, lee soo hyuk, kang tae oh, shin do hyun</div><div>genre: love story drama mixed with fantasy</div><div><br /></div><div>tak dong kyung (park bo young) is an editor for a web novel company. her life was pretty ordinary, but one day she got a bad news. she had glioblastoma and her doctor (as well as one of her writers) told her that she only had three days to live. not only that, she found out that her boyfriend apparently was a husband and about to be a father. the official wife confronted her in public and other people captured the moment and soon it became viral. she was scolded at work because of the case. however, when she chased a pervert that spied on her, she passed by myul mang (seo in guk) by chance and somehow the pervert fell into a sinkhole, created instantly when myul mang ignited his lighter.</div><div><br /></div><div>couldn't believe her bad luck, she drank and when she saw a shooting star, she wished for the world to be doomed. such a wish is an interesting thing for myul mang, whose name means doom. he was a messenger between gods and human, and wherever he goes, dooms follow. anyway, his existence is quite important for the world to be in balance, and on his birthday, he gets to choose a human's wish to fulfill. when he heard dong kyung's wish, he decided to fulfill dong kyung's wish.</div><div><br /></div><div>myul mang then appeared in front of dong kyung and made a contract with her. in 100 days, he would take awal all dong kyung's pain (he put on a special bracelet as a sign, but she has to recharge the power around midnight by holding myul mang's hand) and in exchange, after 100 days, she would died and the world would end. but if she decided to revoke her wish, the person that she loved the most would die in exchange of her. at first dong kyung didn't know what kind of deal she's getting into. but as time goes by, she knew it and tried to revoke it but she was afraid that her younger brother, tak sun kyung (dawon) or her aunt (wong hee jin) got killed instead. so she was on a mission to love myul mang in order to revoke her wish or to find a way to get around her contract with the doom.</div><div><br /></div><div>well, the rest of their story is predictable. myul mang and dong kyung both got interested in each other and fallen in love as usual. and though the god figure in the drama has tried to interfere with their love story, she failed and thus at the end, doom was vanished, but somehow he became alive again, only this time as a mere human. don't ask me how since i skipped most of their parts because the fantasy idea doesn't get me. anyway, no love triangle for the first couple, but love triangle for the second couple, which is interesting.</div><div><br /></div><div>na ji na (shin do hyun) is dong kyung's best friend as well as another writer in dong kyung's company. she used the pen name lee hyun because of her first love, lee hyun kyu (kang tae oh). back then, he left her because he was going to study in japan after he failed his swimming scholarship. he was embarrassed to admit his failure and chose to runaway, leaving ji na behind. apparently, at that time, hyun kyu had a tutor that also allowed him to become his housemate, cha joo ik (lee soo hyuk). when he saw ji na waiting for hyun kyu even though it was raining, he couldn't stand it and then somehow ended up kissing her, leaving her stun and left just a moment before hyun kyu finally got out from the apartment. ji na always remembered joo ik as the one that stole her first kiss.</div><div><br /></div><div>years later, they met again when dong kyu was on leave and left her writers into joo ik's hand. one of them that had to be followed up was ji na. both were surprised when they saw each other again. joo ik was determined to show his feelings for ji na. while ji na was surprised meeting joo ik again. so far her career as a writer was not spectacular. her novels were usually about romance, but the main actor was based on one same person, hyun kyu, thus she used the pen name lee hyun (left the kyu part, but it was pretty obvious). she was further into the dilemma when hyun kyu popped up again in her life. didn't know which one to choose, she decided to give hyun kyu a second chance before deciding which one to choose. hyun kyu himself, didn't want to lose ji na second time, tried his best to win ji na, unknowingly that joo ik also liked her. well, at the end, it was quite sad as ji na decided which one to choose, hyun kyu decided to let her go and bowed down so joo ik could step up. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- park bo young and seo in guk make a good couple. their chemistry is quite natural. </div><div>- i truly like joo ik's character in this drama. he's the main reason i managed to finish the whole series. anyway, in this drama, he looks like a webtoon character. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- well, i bet the explanation on how myul mang managed to live again as human at the same age as he was before might be ridiculous, but again, this is a fantasy drama. it might not be reasonable. </div><div>- as someone who's living poorly most of her life, dong kyung has an unexplainable wardrobe choices along with several accessories. there's almost no repeat on her outfit. </div><div>- can't they tone down the brightening base for joo ik, ji na and dong kyung? they all gorgeous, so at least tone down the makeup a bit.</div><div><br not worth iti watched this only because there's young jae of got7 in it. this is the first time he's acting in a drama, so i was curious how his acting would be compared to his fellow idol member, jin young who has been doing acting for awhile. looking at the trailer, it would be funny and light so it's perfect to fill in after two crime thriller dramas in a row. <div><br /></div><div sitcom</div><div><br /></div><div>well, as this is a sitcom, there's no big plot. only a bunch of foreign students in a korean university dormitory. the only korean/korean in this drama are se wan (park se wan), that's been acting as the the student advisor and was in charge of the dormitory management and hyun min (han hyun min), whose mother is korean and father is african and he has 6 other siblings from different dads thanks to his adventurous mom. since he's korean, he's not allowed to live in the dorm, but things happen and he managed to live in the dorm for awhile.</div><div><br /></div><div>jamie (shin hyeon seung) is a newcomer from the US and apparently the son of famous US actress, barbara houston (thus hyun min's mom mistakenly thinking she was whitney houston) and later will fall in love with se wan. se wan herself has a troubled life thanks to her swindler's dad and her in-debt-forever mom. she has to work part time in various places to pay back her mother's debt.</div><div><br /></div><div>while sam (choi young jae) was supposed to be the son of australian businessman (ain't this funny because in real life young jae's english is terrible and he didn't speak anything in english in this sitcom). he's a free spirit guy but tends to be very sulky. his flaw is he lies all the time even though people could recognize his lying to them since his ears would get burning red every time he lies. later he would be in relationship with minnie and even kissed her! if you're an ahgase, then you'd seen his fellow members tease him about the kissing scene, especially bambam. however, at the end of the drama, there's a possibility they would break up again since minnie probably cheated on him.</div><div><br /></div><div>minnie (minnie of g-idle) is a thai student and loves korean drama, especially DOTS and is easily falling in love. she's bright and cute, but she cheats on her boyfriend numerous times. probably will do the same on sam as well. carson (carson allen) is another american student but she loves korean food and has korean boyfriend at first. she was pretty dedicated to her boyfriend but later she found out her boyfriend cheated on her. while hans (joakim sorensen) is a swedish graduate student that's pretty weird. he sticks to his principle in a weird way. and there's terris (terris brown), a trinidad/tribago student. he's close with hyun min but apparently he stole hyun min's ex-girlfriend but later broke up. near the end of the drama we saw that they make terris as an LGBTQ representation as he was seen in a date with another boy. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- the story is refreshing and light. quite entertaining. it would totally bright up your days.</div><div>- you'd see crumbles of got7 in the drama. young jae specifically said that he intentionally put green birds doll in sam's room as representation of ahgase. in the drama there's a "mark's meal" as well. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- why make the background story as "foreign students living in korean dormitory" when everyone is speaking korean? if you're telling the story as foreign students, ain't it not surprising that they would speak multiple languages? having them to speak only korean is a bit ridiculous. but i do applaud all foreign actors/actresses for speaking korean fluently.</div><div>- they try to insert the mystery of drug dealer in the dorm, but i don't see they reveal it in this season. the same thing with se wan's parents. perhaps this is a sign of second season? as so many mysteries keep being mystery even until the end of the drama.</div><div>- they insert another LGBTQ story. even though in real life, LGBTQ is not widely accepted in korea. i married an anti-fansafter two rounds of thriller drama series, i think it's time to take a break and watch something lighter. i have seen news about this drama being on hold but interestingly, it aired just when i decided to watch a simple rom com. they already shoot the drama long before the pandemic, even before the main actor went into the military. but they just aired it after he finished his military. anyway, i think it's a good choice to lighten up my days for a bit.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a a rising idol star. from the outside, he looks cool but inside he was troubled because he managed to make his debut and became popular while leaving his old friends behind. while lee geun young (choi soo young) is just a contract worker as a reporter. she was told to attend a party that hoo joon attended as well. but later she saw hoo joon talking with oh in young (han ji an), his former trainee friends that was not supposed to be seen together with hoo joon. hoo joon was talking harshly to in young and geun young thought he was abusing in young. hoo joon caught her looking at him, so he chased and confronted her. didn't want to listen to her defense, hoo joon broke geun young's camera. that got geun young angry and threw her shoes at hoo joon and made herself at front page. hoo joon demanded her to be fired from her news company in turn for keeping the photoshoot contract between hoo joon's agency and the news company. angry for being fired because of hoo joon's situation, geun young decided to become hoo joon's anti fan and wanted to let the world know that hoo joon was not the good guy that everybody thought.</div><div><br /></div><div>however, geun young didn't get far with her revenge plan. but a producer and a screen writer became interested in her story and wanted to shoot a "reality show" with hoo joon and geun young as the main casts. they wanted to portray their life as "husband and wife" and thus the title "i married my anti fan". the idea of the reality show was to put hoo joon and geun young in the same house, acting like they were living together so both could know each other better. however, at the same time, geun young was kicked out of her old apartment and got nowhere to stay. she decided to squat at the penthouse where they were filming the reality show as she remembered hoo joon's manager told everyone that it was empty. unfortunately, hoo joon found out about it when he was going to the penthouse to visit the room on the second floor that he has been keeping from everyone else. he let geun young to stay until she could find her own place. </div><div><br /></div><div>long story short, their relationship started to get closer thanks to the reality show and geun young staying at the penthouse. she even got to know better about hoo joon's past. how his current CEO faked hoo joon's life and betrayed JJ and in young. JJ tried to protect in young but at the same time hurt in young in process. that led in young devastated as she wanted to get the fame hoo joon's been getting. as we can predicted, hoo joon started to fall for geun young and vice versa. but problem started to arise after that. after the reality show ended, geun young's laptop, which contained her previous angry notes about hoo joon, fell into the hand of her current cunning CEO and made news, telling everyone that hoo joon was a fake. hoo joon's CEO tried to put the blame on geun young and stopped her from meeting hoo joon while hoo joon believed geun young was innocent. at the end, we saw hoo joon severed his contract with his previous CEO, but still paid his debt because he felt grateful that he got the fame thanks to his CEO. JJ and in young realized that hoo joon was suffered as well and both decided to slow down before deciding whether they would come back to the entertainment world or not. while geun young tried to fix the situation while hoo joon was away, maybe back to his mother in alaska. as we can predicted, at the end hoo joon came back for geun young and he proposed to her romantically.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- light and heartwarming story perfect for buffer after getting my brains boiled because of mouse and beyond evil. </div><div>- the chemistry between choi tae joon and choi soo young is really good here. though we're not supposed to ship them as both of them has girlfriend/boyfriend already. but they do look cute together here.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- there's no explanation about JJ and in young. i do get that JJ wanted to protect in young and somehow it could hurt in young but why he was so against in young getting famous?</div><div>- what's the purpose of hoo joon getting away for awhile? and then when he came back, he's still as famous as before. like people completely forgot about his scandal. and there's no clear explanation about geun young's effort to clear hoo joon's name. is it working? or isn't it?</div><div>- geun young has too many clothes and too pretty clothes for someone who's squatting at someone else's place. </div><div><br /></div><div>at this moment, i feel helpless. i might not be their family, but i feel the despair. i feel the sadness. biarpun status kami tdk sama, biar gimana juga mereka jg melewati hal yang sama. sekolah 6 tahun. praktek di rumah sakit. jaga malam. makan makanan jatah. sama2 kena damprat senior. sama2 tidur geletakan saat jaga. we took the same oath. we promised we would call them our family. and now my family is hurt. one by one i lost my family member. kami yg notabene dokter, kami bahkan tdk bisa menyelamatkan nyawa sejawat kami. senior kami. i just hope we could get through this. at the end, i hope i can see some familiar faces. i can still hear some familiar names. width="283" /></a></div><br /><div>title: mouse</div><div>cast: lee seung gi, lee hee joon, park ju hyun, kyung soo jin</div><div>genre: thriller, crime drama mystery</div><div><br /></div><div>the drama started with an introduction from professor daniel lee (jo jae yoon), a criminologist and a genetic specialist, a korean but then adopted and raised in UK. he explained about psychopath gene. he concluded that there's a way to text for psychopath gene so they could prevent murder case by psychopath. he then flew back to korea immediately when he heard about serial murder case in korea done by "head hunter". all the victims were found headless, so they named the culprit head hunter. the police department still couldn't catch the suspect, so a special meeting was arranged to discuss about it. he then explained to a bunch of korean government officials about psychopath and ensured them that he had a way to test pregnant women so they could find out whether their fetuses carried psychopathic gene or not so they could terminated the fetuses with psychopathic gene. however, at the last voting, the officials decided not to pass the bill.</div><div><br /></div><div>daniel then visited his best friend's home and met his best friend, dr. han seo joon (ahn jae wook) a genius neurosurgeon and his wife. we saw a loving side of han seo joon with his pregnant wife and how daniel was grateful that seo joon managed to move on from his late sister, jennifer. on the side, we saw a glimpse of little girl (young "hong ju" /park so yi) that lured a woman (song soo jung/ ha young) and then became a victim of unknown person. the little girl was scared but couldn't do anything. we saw later the little girl visited the victim's family and gave back the belonging of the victim secretly. back to head hunter days, we saw another family of four, father (jung kang hee), mother (seo jung yeon) and two boys. the older one was go moo woon (jo yeon ho) and the little one was go moo chi (song min jae). all four were planning to go to a cabin to stay for a night to celebrate moo chi's birthday. halfway, they asked for a direction from the car driver in front of their bus. however, when they arrived, the cabin was shut down because the water system had some problem, but the kids asked to stay anyway so they did. unfortunately, one by one was chased by unknown person and when the mother barely escaped, she only had enough time to warn his oldest to take care of the youngest and told them to hid as she tried to decoy the unknown person. however, the person managed to kill the father, mother, and almost got to the youngest who hid inside the suitcase when the oldest decided to come out from his hiding so he got injured instead. the police came right away as the cabin's owner couldn't get hold of the father and found the abandoned bus and blood traces. the police found the parents' body and the oldest was in critical condition while the youngest was shocked. park du seok (ahn nae sang), one of the police detective that got obsessed with head hunter forced his way to question the scared young moo chi. moo chi was too afraid at first, but he managed to point to han seo joon's picture on the hospital wall and named him as the culprit that kill his parents and hurt his big brother. the police officer rushed to arrest him, but almost let him go because of insufficient evidence. they did find the headless body inside the snowman in front of his house but they couldn't prove that seo joon was the one that put the body inside. but when he was about to get out of the police station, his wife, sung ji eun (kim jung nan) suddenly came and showed a picture she took that morning that clearly showed that it was seo joon that built the snowman. the mask he put on so far immediately gone when he found that he had no way to avoid the arrest anymore. he claimed that his gene was superior than other human being and he didn't feel any remorse. detective park questioned him about all his victims including his children, but he said he didn't know anything about hyun soo (detective park's daughter).</div><div><br /></div><div>meanwhile, shocked by the truth that his husband was a psychopathic serial killer, ji eun met with daniel to get the test. the test came back that the fetus inside her womb indeed carried psychopathic gene. and she was in her third trimester, so she was part the age to abort her baby. she met another woman that just found out about her baby's result as well. though both parents were okay, apparently the baby test came back as psychopathic. well, the result wasn't completely conclusive. 99% it would be psychopathic, and 1% it would be a genius. fast forward a bit, we saw a little boy in kindergarten (seo woo jin) brought a rat and put it inside the snake cage and made the snake chased the mouse and made the other children scared, but the little boy only watched quietly. when the mouse attacked the snake and escaped, he chased the mouse only to encounter a mysterious girl (kim soo in) that he should let the mouse go because the mouse's brain was different and it would attack him just like the snake and the little girl stepped on the mouse to kill it.</div><div><br /></div><div>fast forward a bit, we saw an elementary boy, jung jae hoon (kim kang hoon). he was reported to his teacher because his friends saw him cut open a rabbit belly. he told his teacher that he wanted to check whether the rabbit was pregnant or just fat. the teacher was surprised hearing his answer. she even surprised to see his drawings and got concerned enough to call his parents. however, apparently jae hoon was a stepson and his stepfather hated him. jae hoon then killed his father's fish and dog to get back to his stepfather. he warned his stepbrother, jung jae min (kim dong ha) not to rat him out, but it was jung jae hee (ahn seo yeon), the youngest that had some mental problem that actually ratted him out. didn't know the truth, he pushed jae min into a hole and wanted to leave him there as punishment, but someone pushed him away and then choked him. in between consciousness-unconsciousness, he saw a glimpse of woman similar to ji eun that choke him. next we saw that the entire family was murdered and jae hoon became a suspect. they even put him under lie detector but he was let go because he seemed to say the truth. on his way, he stopped by a church and prayed that he wouldn't become a monster.</div><div><br /></div><div>then we saw jung ba reum (lee seung gi), rookie police officer almost got hit by detective goo moo chi's car (lee hee jun). yep. the same moo chi from head hunter's case. he was still vengeful and wanted to kill seo jun, but he ended up being a police officer, and still couldn't get into prison. meanwhile his older brother became a pastor and had forgiven seo jun. we saw some of ba reum's friends, the prison guard na chi kook (lee seo jun) and koo dong koo (woo ji hyun). ba reum and dong koo were helping father goo's team to put up a show for the prisoners. several days before, we saw the public uproar because of back to back murder case. a former boxer found tied in a chair and burned to crisp in his gym. then a single mother found dead and then placed in the sewer. both got their middle finger broken. earlier that day, chi kook had declined seo jun's demand for getting him medical thread, but the prison doctor told him to just let him or he would get hurt. chi kook then told ba reum about seo jun and both met eyes by eyes for a few seconds. what happened after was quite shocking. as ba reum was doing his magic show, they were surprised finding chi kook's bleeding body without his uniform in the magic box. his middle finger was broken as well. later they found another body hanging in a vineyard with similar MO. and then a boy that wanted to find his father, kim han kook (kim ha eon) got kidnapped by the same culprit and demanded moo chi to go to sherlock ju's show with reporter choi hong ju (kyung soo jin) and told him the reason why he did all the killings if he wanted to save han kook. the other police officers, especially detective park, were against the idea as something bad would happen. flashback, detective park was telling the press that he would catch head hunter soon but he got his children kidnapped and then found his son killed in a car crash while trying to escape. he couldn't find his daughter up until now. fast forward again, moo chi didn't hear all the warnings and kept going with the plan. i forgot to mention that ba reum had another close friend, oh bong yi (park ju hyun) and her grandmother and both ba reum and dong koo met doctor sung yo han (kwon hwa woon) that helped saving chi kook's life but seemed cold from the outside. </div><div><br /></div><div>well, long story short, detective park was right. moo won got killed that night and they didn't manage to find han kook. later they suspected doctor sung yo han, gathering evidence against him, and was about to arrest him when he showed up at ba reum's house. bong yi who was there escaped and found moo chi halfway but ba reum confronted yo han and got his head pounded with hammer by yo han. later moo chi shot yo han and both were in critical condition before yo han died while ba reum managed to get through the brain surgery. since that episode, we saw some weird behaviour from ba reum that got us question, was it really yo han the culprit? or was it ba reum? i forgot to tell you that bong yi's grandmother got killed as well since she found something suspicious in yo han's house while she was doing her illegal housekeeping job. yo han's friend was killed as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>later we would see that bong yi was a victim of child rape and assault by kang duk soo (jung eun pyo) and still couldn't get through the trauma. after moo chi and ba reum got transferred to the evidence storage together with detective park, they encountered several other serial killing series. from woo hyung chul (song jae hee), the tie knot murderer that ba reum managed to kill but his body vanished without a trace to a cat killing kim byung tae (ji tae yang). even kang duk soo also got killed by ba reum but everyone trying to cover somebody. ba reum also found out that his surgery was done by seo jun and it was a special brain transplant. part of sung yo han's brain was transplanted in his brain and ba reum was sure that his weird memories and behaviour was part of yo han's. we got confuse. was it really yo han's brain that messed up ba reum's? </div><div><br /></div><div>anyway, this is long already and 20 episodes is too long to tell here. especially with a lot of twist and turns like mouse's. at the end we could see that both ba reum and yo han were victim in an experiment by the government that wanted the bill to abort psychopathic gene fetuses to pass. in his dying days, ba reum managed to pay for his sins, killing seo jun for moo chi after turning himself in. moo chi and bong yi managed to go forward with their life. choi hong ju was the missing park hyun soo, and she turned herself in for her helping seo jun lured his victim back in the days. we also got another puzzle at the end. there was another brain transplant patient. but was he another psychopath getting a normal brain or the other way around?</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- quite a solid story with a lot of twists. and by a lot i mean, A LOT. really. but i think they cover everything.</div><div>- all actors and actresses were good. some supporting roles were a bit stiff, but it was still acceptable. i don't quite like bong yi's acting a bit, but she was supposed to look offended all the time, so i guess it must be the role.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- too many twists and characters. it's hard to keep up with lots of twists and names. like how choi hong ju turned up to be the long lost park hyun soo and she was involved in song soo jung's murder. song soo jung was song soo ho's sister and song soo ho was the boxer that got burned. and let's not forget how sung ji eun was almost got killed by the suseong killer and even encountered and prevented woo hyung chul's mother that was trying to strangle young woo hyung chul. later woo hyung chul managed to kill his own mother in front of ji eun's eye. ain't that too much of a twist?</div><div>- they blurred the gory detail. i knew that even in CSI that didn't show the whole body, but at least they didn't blur it. so why tried to make it look horrible when at the end they just blurred everything? </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 9/10</div><div>binge worthy: oh yes</div><div>recommended for: those who like crime/thriller story with lots of twists, bloody scenes and surprising ending. oh and can get through 20 episodes (usually dramas have 16 episodes but this one has 20, so make sure you're patient enough to watch the whole story).</div>Nikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16075399847172075758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435025837855310554.post-58490507676253587112021-06-14T10:17:00.006-07:002021-06-14T10:17:31.648-07:00beyond their police station. everyone was wondering why he was transferred there since he's the son of han gi hwan (choi jin ho), the commissioner of police agency- gonnabe. apparently, joo won had a hidden agenda that would turn the whole place upside down.</div><div><br /></div><div>apparently 20 years ago, back in his high school days, there were several murder cases that went unsolved in munju area. one of the victims was dong sik's twin sister, lee yu yeon (moon joo yeon). another victim was bang ju seon (kim heiora). yoo jae yi (choi sun eun)'s mother was missing as well. back then, dong sik was suspected as the culprit and even arrested before the got released because of his best friend's testimony, park jung je (choi dae hoon). unfortunately, his twin sister's body was never found and the case got cold. however, the police handling the case got promoted to seoul and the person in charge was han gi hwan. </div><div><br /></div><div>people started to forget about the case when suddenly there was another body found in an empty land. the victim was found in similar way as the ones from the cold case. they found out that the body was a stranger, not one of the villager. and she was connected to han joo won. apparently she was joo won's informant, but he couldn't disclose it because it wasn't written in formal document. everyone started to be suspicious of joo won but couldn't dare say it out loud because of his father. things were getting heated up when ten severed fingers of kang min jung (kang min ah) found in front of her father's store. her father was kang jin mook (lee gyu hoe). from the outside, he looked imbecile. he was one of the closest person to dong sik because dong sik parents were his foster parents and even helped him open manyang store. starting from here, we would be confused as to who was the culprit? as we saw it was dong sik that put the fingers in front of the store. even joo won found evidence that dong sik went up to the mountain where the body was found. </div><div><br /></div><div>but then dong sik managed to counter all the evidence and released from holding. and then the suspicion fell into jae yi who was the butcher in the area. they turned the place upside down and got jae yi reminded of the incident 20 years ago when her mother was gone. things became more complicated and after a few back and forth, dong sik told joo won that the real murderer of kang min jung was her father, kang jin mook. that caused a bit uproar when they found jin mook buried min jung at the back of their house. jin mook even confessed that he was the one that did all the killing, even from the 20 years ago. behind his imbecile appearance, he managed to disguise his cruelty. he killed all those women because he saw them as bitch. he killed min jung because min jung was about the leave him alone just like her mother. however, they couldn't punish him for his crimes because jin moo ended his life. but before that, he told dong sik that he killed all the women except for yu yeon.</div><div><br /></div><div>things got more complicated when captain nam (chun ho jin) was accused of assisting jin mook's suicide. but he was released due to insufficient evidence. but the he got killed because he had something on someone. captain nam's death enraged dong sik, but due to that case, he decided to work with joo won in exchange for him to confess that he found min jung's fingers and didn't report it because he wanted to catch jin mook. joo won also agreed that he would turn himself in because of the sting case that caused his informant death. </div><div><br /></div><div>we became suspicious of jeong je because he forgot the detail of the night 20 years ago, and when he did remember, he remembered that he hit yu yeon with his car and asked his mother's help. his mother was the councilwoman that had some agreement with JI construction and she asked the CEO to get rid of the body. but he didn't do it so kang jin mook managed to steal back the body and put it in dong sik's house wall. we also became suspected of JI construction CEO, lee chang jin (heo sung tae) as well. but all were false because the real culprit was han gi hwan. </div><div><br /></div><div>back when he was a police officer in munju station, he was the one in charge of yu yeon case. he hid the fact that he was the one that hit yu yeon because of drink driving. back then, yu yeon was indeed in jin mook's car together with bang su jeon. her fingers were cut already, but she managed to regain consciousness. when she ran away from jin mook, she was hit by gi hwan's car (he's drunk driving after drinking with councilwoman park and lee chang jin). gi hwan then called chang jin to get rid of the body but he didn't do anything. yu yeon's body then got hit by park jeong je's car and the councilwoman called chang jin again to get rid of the body once again. however, when chang jin got rid of jeong je's car, jin mook found and moved the body already. </div><div><br /></div><div>at the end we saw that everyone kept their words. han gi hwan was apprehended by his own son for killing yu yeon. chang jin and councilwoman were caught as well. park jeong je turned himself in. even dong sik turned himself for not reporting when he found min jung's fingers (min jung was still alive then, but dong sik didn't know about it). joo won worked harder than ever since he only got disciplinary punishment. several years later, they met again in jae yi's place. all putting their past behind them. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- gee.. i really couldn't guess who's evil and who's right. they all seemed to have evil side. that means their acting are good. though i think the main one is a bit too much, but i guess he was supposed to do that.. to look crazy i mean.</div><div>- the story is pretty solid, though there's some questions though. why jeong je remembered deer just because he was kept in the deer farm when his mother got angry with him? and were all the bodies in found in the farm really kang jin mook's victim? </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- how they all evil? like why do they have to make us going back and forth? but i guess that's what the twists are for. to make us confuse. </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 8.5/10</div><div>binge worthy: yes</div><div>recommended for: those who like crime story/thriller, don't mind some gory details, and like some to heavenafter finishing navillera, i already knew i wanted to watch taxi driver or doom at your service, but unfortunately both are not available in netflix, so i decided to give "move to heaven" a try. i knew that it would be another heartbreaking story, but i guess since i've watched navillera, so why not? in fact, it's quite interesting since one of the main casts is lee je hoon. he's the same main cast for taxi driver, so i guess it would be interesting to see him playing two different characters in such a short time.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; sang) is a 20 years old with asperger syndrome that works as trauma cleaner company named "move to heaven" with his father, han jeong woo (ji jin hee). a trauma cleaner is someone who works to clean up dead person's belongings and sometimes gives closure to their family. even though geu ru has asperger, he's really smart and his memory works perfectly but in different way. he's also extremely logical, which sometimes is hard to accept by others. he had lived with his father since his mother died of cancer and worked together. unfortunately, his father hid the truth about his cardiac disease and left geu ru on his own when suddenly he got cardiac arrest. fortunately, he managed to write a will before his death.</div><div><br /></div><div>in his will, he stated that his brother, cho sang gu (lee je hoon) would be geu ru's guardian and he must stay and work with geu ru for a 3 month probationary period. the estranged uncle was totally different from geu ru's dad. he was an underground MMA fighter that went to jail because he put his opponent into coma after a fight. he smoked and looked reckless from the outside and made yoon na mu (im won hee) worried about geu ru's wellbeings. na mu was geu ru's neighbour as well as geu ru's long time best friend. she decided to join "move to heaven" against her mother's approval.</div><div><br /></div><div>all throughout the drama we saw that their clients had a life lesson that we could learnt from. the first client from the drama that geu ru and his dad worked on was cleaning up a dorm room of a young man name kim seon woo (hong jin gi). he died in his own room because his company didn't allow him to go to the hospital and he didn't have the money to go to the emergency room. he was suffering from a workplace accident, he broke his foot, but the manager refused to let him see a doctor and he had to wait for the next day. the next day, he was died already. the company tried to cover the fact, but geu ru and his father found proof that the company was at fault. moreover, since both seon woo's parents were deaf and mute, the company manager looked down at them and just shoved some money to keep them quiet. but after some encouragement from geu ru and his dad, seon woo's parents decided to stand up against them. here we see seon woo's dream crushed. he dreamt of going to college and married the girl he liked, but it was gone since the company had a bad work condition. </div><div><br /></div><div>after his father death, geu ru's first case with his uncle was to clean up a room of an old lady, lee young sun (lee joo sil). she died in her room because she lived alone and her son didn't visit her often so she was found later one when her body has already decomposed. her son and daughter in law just wanted to know whether she kept some precious belongings and asked geu ru and his uncle to get rid the rest. but geu ru, being a stubborn head, proceed with the same method as he used to do with his father. he found some money under the mat but they were in bad condition as she died on the mat and the body has been decomposed. he wanted to give her precious belonging to her son, but he refused. at first the uncle didn't know anything and just tossed it at the back of the waste disposal truck owned by park joo taek (lee moon sik), a colleague of geu ru's dad. geu ru found a way to clean the money but he was puzzled by the story behind all that money. </div><div><br /></div><div>apparently, lee yeong sun withdrew the same amount of money every monday, wednesday and friday and then made a phone call from the bank. then she walked to a tailor before she went home. geu ru managed to solve the puzzle and excited to tell the son, but he couldn't find the box to give to the family. he became angry when he found out that his uncle had threw it out. geu ru, sang gu, na mu and even mr. park had to search the junkyard because geu ru insisted that it was important stuff and he had to give it to her family. later we found out that lee yeong sun had been withdrawing money to make a suit for her son. she never got the courage to tell her son whom she called from the bank. and the precious item inside the box was thermal underwear that her son gave her years ago but she never got the courage to open it since it was too precious for her. the truth broke her son's down as he didn't take care of his mother while she was still alive.</div><div><br /></div><div>next was a young woman, lee seon yeong (park shin ah) that was killed by her boyfriend, kim yong woo (shin soo oh). he denied the charges obviously and everyone had known him as a loving boyfriend, so the detective and the prosecutor had a hard time proving that he's guilty. however, thanks to geu ru's diligence and this time sang gu helped as well, they found the evidence that proved that the boyfriend had abused seon young for awhile. he even abused her on that day and indeed killed her. grateful for geu ru's help, the prosecutor gave geu ru her contact so geu ru could contact her if geu ru ever needed help in the future.</div><div><br /></div><div>their next client was a doctor that died in the emergency center because one of the patient forced them to give him drug while he was holding a knife to one of the nurse. he died for failing to save the nurse and got killed instead. unfortunately, his past was something else. the family tried to bury the truth but geu ru insisted that he should give the box to someone 's important in the doctor's life. it was a cellist that geu ru claimed as his "girlfriend". they went to the music hall tried to meet the cellist. there were three female cellist and one male cellist. however, all three female cellist didn't know the doctor. geu ru managed to uncover that the "girlfriend" was the male cellist. no wonder that the family tried to hide the truth because the parents didn't like their relationship. at the end, geu ru managed to give the box to the male cellist and gave consolation to him. </div><div><br /></div><div>last two clients were the ones that made them met social worker son woo rim (soo young). the first one was a couple that took their life together. however, the old man contacted move to heaven before so they were the one to find the body. since the couple had no offspring, there was no one to give the box to. and the old man had prepared everything. in fact, he even left a letter saying sorry for the trauma cleaners. when geu ru decided to keep on going, truth was revealed. the old man fired from his security job and had no money to keep her wife in the nursery, so they both decided to take their own lives. however, the sad ending took turn when at the funeral, a chairman happened to know the old man and wanted to pay his respect. such a lonely funeral turned into a solemn one when close people of the chairman decided to pay respect as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>last client was matthew green (kevin oh). he was adopted since baby to the US but later he was left by his adopted parents thus he had no choice but to leave for korea again. unfortunately, he couldn't find his birth parents as his birth mother refused to meet him. he had heart disease as well and he stayed at a motel by himself so there was no one when he had heart attack. it was woo rim that found him since she couldn't reach him. when geu ru and sang gu cleaned his room, they found some truths about his past. apparently, he was in a halfway house before he was adopted and the daughter of his foster parents became a famous anchor. however, matthew thought that she was his birth mother that refused to meet him since she was famous now. such a sad truth.. but at last the anchorwoman decided to use matthew's death to bring the problem about adoption like matthew to the public and pushed the government to do something about it.</div><div><br /></div><div>on the side, we also saw about sang gu's past. he was put in jail because he put his opponent into coma. apparently the opponent was his protege (lee jae wook). he decided to give up boxing because he suffered from punch drunk but he was planning to get some winning money for his parents. unfortunately sang gu managed to defeat him and at last he died. but we knew that sang gu was not 100% responsible for his death and the protege's sister also has accepted the fact too. at last sang gu asked the sister to clean the room as a trauma cleaner and gave the box to the sister. sang gu also found the truth about his own past. apparently, sang gu and jeong woo was brother for awhile because sang gu's dad married jeong woo's mother. but after they got divorced, sang gu was left with his father. after sang gu's dad died, jeong woo promised sang gu that he would take care of him, but before he could keep the promise, he was involved in the mall accident (the same one in "my love blooms") when he was buying shoes for sang gu's birthday present. sang gu then grew up resenting jeong woo. later one he found out from geu ru that every year, on his birthday, geu ru and his dad has been fulfilling jeong woo's promise to take sang gu to the amusement park and rode every ride in the park and then ate at three different places and bought a pair of nike shoes. all the shoes were kept in the basement of the house. another truth was geu ru was adopted as well. sang gu found the adoption paper in the basement as well. he tried to hide the truth but geu ru had found out that he was adopted but he knew that his parents loved him so. at the end, we saw that sang gu and geu ru had made a stronger bond, and when the probation ended, geu ru asked the lawyer to ask sang gu to be his permanent guardian, and sang gu agreed.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- such a heartwarming story throughout the drama. so many life lesson here. from taking care of your old parents better to try looking each story from other side.</div><div>- all the actors and actresses are good. especially geu ru and sang gu. they both are really good.</div><div>- no plot hole. they close sang gu's story well and explain everything clearly.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- they tried to bring up LGBTQ issue again as it's quite a hot topic nowadays. </div><div>- some scenes might be gory so they blurred it. i think they should learn to cover it better and not blurring it.</div><div>- 10 episodes are too short. however, people have been saying that there might be a second season since the last scene from the last episode has an open ending.</div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 9/10</div><div>binge worthy: yes</div><div>recommended from: someone who won't mind sad scenes and sad stories after stories. just prepare your tissue when watching this drama.</div>Nikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16075399847172075758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435025837855310554.post-74544015096075504912021-05-29T10:45:00.002-07:002021-05-29T10:45:22.613-07:00when my love blooms<div style="text-align: left;"> i'm waiting for hospital playlist or any drama from jang ki yong to be played in netflix, but apparently it won't be aired until early to mid june, so i didn't have anything to watch for now. but recently i found out about got7 and was interested in park jin young. apparently he had a drama in netflix that i haven't watched yet and it was the same drama which yoo ji tae appeared as well. at first i was interested because of yoo ji tae, but it was jin young that made me watch it at last. oh well, let's see how it goes.</div><div style="text-align: left;">genre: romantic melodrama</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">han jae hyun (yoo ji tae) is a VP of hyung sung group who recently got out jail after being a scapegoat for his father in law. everyone was wondering what he would do next when suddenly he met his long lost ex-girlfriend, yoon ji soo (lee bo young). honestly, this drama is full of back and forth storyline, so it's a bit confusing going forward and backward all the time, so let's talk about it from the past to the present time.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">back in his college days, young jae hyun (park jin young) was famous for being a defender for labor union. he was in law department and has been going on rallies to defend people who couldn't defend themselves. on one of his rallies, he saw young yoon ji soo (jeon so nee). when the rallies went awry, jae hyun helped ji soo before disappearing. since ji soo was in music department, she asked around the law department and got help from young young woo (byung hun). long story short, young ji soo was determined to date young jae hyun. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">however, their love story wasn't that smooth. since jae hyun has been in rallies constantly, it might affect his career. while ji soo, was apparently came from a high class family. her father was apparently the chief prosecutor at that time, and he was furious when ji soo was caught when she was in the same rally as jae hyun. jae hyun met her father, but ji soo father deemed jae hyun wasn't the right man for ji soo. facing opposition from ji soo family made their relationship became a bit like romeo juliet. at the first half of the series we could see that ji soo decided to leave jae hyun for his sake, under the oppression from her father but that's not the entire story on the second half. ji soo managed to disappear while jae hyun was in military service (a bit forced by ji soo's father) and couldn't find her after years. later, when his father ended his own life because he was accused of accepting bribe from the company and betrayed his friends in labor union, jae hyun's world collapsed. suddenly he couldn't find the meaning of all he's been doing these time. he's been defending the labor union while his father was accused of betraying his own labor union. determined to get the bottom of it, he decided to work as hard as he could and found the truth about his father's death. however, in the middle of his way, he met jang seo kyung (park si yeon), an heiress from hyung sung group and married her. they had a son, han joon seo (park min soo) who apparently was in the same school as ji soo's son, lee young min (go woo rim).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">fast forward to present days, young min was a bright young boy that got scholarship so he could attend prestigious school. however, other students knew about his financial situation and they deemed he was not fit for the school and bullied him for being poor. young min has been hiding the bullying from his mother because he was afraid that his father, lee se hoon (kim young hoon) might use that reason to gain the custody right. however, he snapped when the other students, especially joon seo, kept bullying him and the headmaster had no choice but to call both parents. since seo kyung was away, jae hyun came to school instead and to his surprise, he met adult ji soo. jae hyun knew that his own son might be the reason young min snapped, but since joon seo didn't admit anything, jae hyun asked the headmaster to keep it quiet and didn't charge young min.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">but when seo kyung and the CEO found out about it, they forced the school to kick young min out. the rest is predictable. jae hyun found out that ji soo has been struggling all these time, while he's been living in comfort. she had no stable job, and she was one of the hyung sung supermarket's branch owner before the contract was annulled. she has been helping the other women in the labor union to put rally in front of the company. ji soo also had divorced her husband because he was cheating on her but she didn't want to receive any money for both her and her son. her husband was her former lawyer, and still became a lawyer when he found out about ji soo and her past with jae hyun. he worked together with seo kyung to prevent ji soo getting back with jae hyun. at first his effort seemed to be working, but ji soo determined not to let anyone else stepping on her life, so his plan fell apart.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">meanwhile, jae hyun has been working on a plan to let the truth about his father in law out. he also asked seo kyung for divorce but seo kyung didn't want to sign the paper at first and made ji soo suffered because of it. young min also suffered because joon seo once again bullied young min because he was afraid that his dad might leave his mom for young min's mom. at this time, young min decided that the school wasn't worth it and left the school with ji soo's approval. at this time, se hoon had no choice but to support young min's decision. however, he still didn't give up on ji soo entirely. his last effort was telling a father whose son has died because of suicide because he was accused accepting bribe from hyung sung group, exactly like jae hyun's dad and he believed that jae hyun was the culprit and after being told jae hyun's location, he stabbed jae hyun. at the end, jae hyun decided not to charge the man, and that man learnt the truth that jae hyun wasn't the culprit. at first, se hoon has been called as witness, but later the police told him that jae hyun knew the truth about se hoon's involvement in the case but decided to let it go. that shocked se hoon and changed him.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">so.. back to the love story.. after jae hyun met ji soo's dad, ji soo dad told ji soo to left korea for germany, but ji soo didn't go and even run away with jae hyun for awhile. while running away, jae hyun was caught by the military police because of ji soo's dad and forced to fulfill his military duty. around the same time, ji soo's dad was furious of jae hyun, so when he knew that jae hyun's dad was reporting hyung sung CEO of corruption, ji soo's dad decided to help hyung sung CEO (present day jae hyun's father in law) and framed jae hyun's dad instead. on ji soo's birthday, when ji soo decided to visit jae hyun on his first military visitation permit, ji soo's mom and younger sister died because the mall collapsed. couldn't accept the reality, ji soo's dad mental health was shaken and he was caught accepting bribe as well. so in short time, ji soo's family lost their home, his dad was removed from the prosecution department, thus made ji soo left jae hyun without any explanation. back to present day, ji soo explained her reason for leaving and ji soo also found out that jae hyun decided to be with her even though he knew that her father was the one that's behind jae hyun's father's death. talking about complicated love story.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">anyway, at the end, jae hyun managed to get the hyung sung CEO apprehended. he was put in jail. he divorced seo kyung but he resigned from the company. both seo kyung and her dad still had their shares in the company as owners, but they weren't allowed to involve in the management. while ji soo moved and opened her own piano school. jae hyun proposed to her, but honestly i couldn't see that they got married at the end. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- well, all actresses and actors are good. however, i still don't like park si yeon's acting though. she still seemed "extra". </div><div style="text-align: left;">- at least there were some sweet memories during their youth days. i like how it was sweet between young jae hyun and young ji soo. if only the drama was only about their youth days... i won't be skipping the drama like crazy. fyi, i don't quite like the present plot, so i often skip the present days. but i never skip the younger days. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- this story is about infidelity and people are supporting it. gee.. i get that their love was sooo strong that even though it's been years they couldn't forget it. but for ji soo, she's divorced. but jae hyun was not. he was the one that made the decision to marry seo kyung when he couldn't style="text-align: left;">this year might be song kang year. after love alarm2, he started in navillera and later he would be in a drama with han so hee. i do like him as he always takes different roles each time he was in a drama. he doesn't limit himself to only romantic drama, but also some scary role in sweet home and now a ballerina. i do hope he would be an antagonist someday.. anyway, some people say navillera is underrated and it is a good drama, so let's see how it goes. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: (park in hwan) is a retiree in his 70th. he's saying goodbye to his friends one by one. one of his friend told him that he regretted not pursuing his dreams while he still had his health. this friend ended up taking his life, sending quite a shock to deok chul's life. he then decided to pursue his childhood dream when he was lee chae rok (song kang) dancing ballet in a studio. chae rok himself is a 23 year old ballerino who's struggled financially and still tried to make himself known in ballet world. he also had a dark past, with his dad was in jail because his dad assaulted his soccer club players while he was a coach there. he was in a slump when he met deok chul, but it was about to change.</div><div><br /></div><div>deok chul appealed to ki seung joo (kim tae hoon), chae rok's teacher. but seung joo refused, stating that deok chul was simply too old to learn ballet. however, he decided to accept deok chul and made him chae rok's manager and in return, chae rok was the one who will teach deok chul ballet. chae rok didn't agree at all at first, but watching how determined deok chul was, he changed his mind slowly and started to help deok chul learning ballet.</div><div><br /></div><div>those two started to build stronger bond when deok chul helped chae rok faced his old friend, yang ho beom (kim kwon). ho beom had been assaulting him since he hated chae rok because of his father. ho beom was in chae rok's dad' soccer club and he thought he had a good future as a soccer player when chae rok's father was put in jail. later he became no one since he had knee injury and he kept resenting chae rok and his dad for his fate. however, chae rok stated that his fate was his own, and not chae rok's or his dad's. he stated that ho beom could make turn in his life just chae rok did. meanwhile, chae rok and his dad's relationship was not that good either. his dad didn't tell him when he was released from prison and after being released he instantly went to the suburb to work without meeting chae rok at all. however, as chae rok started to become closer to deok chul, his relationship with his dad was getting better as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>meanwhile, deok chul has been keeping his ballet learning a secret from his family. starting off as a poor family, deok chul has been working hard for years as postman. throughout the episodes, we saw how shim sung san (jung hae kyun), his first son, had to skip school because they couldn't pay the school fee just in time. for a fourth grader, it was such a big burden that made his mom heartbroken. later we also saw that sung san gave up baseball because he didn't want to burden his parents with baseball necessities like shoes and gloves that required extra money. however, choi hae nam (na moon hee), deok chul's wife was grateful that he managed to land stable job in some office and even managed to get high ranking in his company. however, after his success, he seemed to see others lowly, thus later made hae nam scolded him when sung san was in altercation with deok chul. shim seung suk (kim soo jin), deok chul's daughter, was struggling financially as well. her husband, young il, was struggling politician. he didn't win several elections because of his education background. they also didn't have any children. later seung suk told hae nam that they were going to give up trying to conceive.</div><div><br /></div><div>meanwhile, shim sung gwan (jo bok rae) was deok chul's third children, second son. he quit his job as surgeon as he couldn't face another life lost on his surgery table. he was struggling as well as sung san kept criticizing his choice to pursue his dream to be a film director and not continuing his job as surgeon. there was shim eun ho (hong sung hee), deok chul's granddaughter, sung san's daughter. she was graduated and accepted as intern. fate made her met with chae rok. she became intern and got placed in chae rok's part time job cafe. both of them involved in several arguments before getting closer and became friends because of deok chul. however, she was struggling in her job as she didn't want to disappoint her father. but the job wasn't the right one for her. </div><div><br /></div><div>later, hae nam found out about deok chul learning ballet and told sung san. sung san was furious and told deok chul to quit as it might bring shame to the family. up until these days, ballet is still deemed to be suitable for female, and male dancers are still rare due to the shaming culture. sung gwan was the only one supporting deok chul. the other one was kim ae ran (shin eun jung), sung san's wife. she supported deok chul because deok chul understood her when she was in depression after giving birth to eun ho. she had to quit her job and stayed with eun ho by herself meanwhile sung san was in the office, being late because of his overtime. deok chul also supported her when she announced that she was going to work again since eun ho was an adult herself. sung suk was no choice but to agree with deok chul as it might affected yong il's image. however, yong il himself was not completely against the idea of deok chul learning ballet. however, after watching how sad deok chul was when he gave up the ballet for awhile, hae nam decided that she was going to support deok chul and even scolded sung san.</div><div><br /></div><div>both deok chul and chae rok helped each other. even when chae rok was injured because of ho beom, deok chul kept by his side and helped him recover. but there was a sad truth behind deok chul's intention to learn ballet. he was suffering from alzheimer. he found out about it the day he saw chae rok in the ballet studio. watching chae rok doing ballet brought back his past memories that started to fade away. and being chae rok's manager, he decided to do his best and he took notes of everything. from his schedule to his dancing routine. at first chae rok thought that deok chul was being diligent, but later he found out that it wasn't the case. he couldn't decide whether or not telling deok chul's family, but when deok chul's condition was getting worse, he had no choice but to tell sung gwan. both of them keeping their eyes on deok chul, and keeping the condition hidden from other family member. but one day deok chul was missing and everyone couldn't find him. sung gwan told sung san and sung suk about deok chul's condition and was surprised when hae nam told him that she already knew, hence all the mackerel fish dishes lately. chae rok also told eun ho. together, the family decided to support deok chul and took care of him even though deok chul was thinking of going to nursery home, but his family stopped him as they wanted to take care of him.</div><div><br /></div><div>at the end, sung san quit his job and decided to think about his dream. sung suk and yong il moved to stay close to deok chul and took care of their parents/parent in law, while yong il got back to college. sung gwan made his first documentary film about deok chul learning ballet. chae rok himself managed to recover, practiced hard for the competition and won. meanwhile, deok chul, despite his alzheimer, managed to do ballet on stage in a duo with chae rok. both of them managed to soar high. oh, i also forgot to mention that ho beom managed to get into soccer club, and chae rok's relationship with his father was getting better even though they kept living apart. eun ho also quit her job and worked in a radio station instead and she loved it.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- can we give applause for all the actors and actresses in this drama? they were all impressive. even though i was not a fan of eun ho at first, but later she was okay. also sung gwan was a bit cold at first, but later he was getting better. </div><div>- there are a lot of life inspiring stories in this drama. if you're quite crybaby, prepare a lot of tissue as there are a lot of heartbreaking scenes in this drama. and the stories are natural.. </div><div>- through this drama we can learn that your gender, your age, your condition is not an obstacle for you reaching your dream. as long as you're persistent and not giving up, you can reach your dream. however, in this drama deok chul was quite reasonable about this condition. he knew that in his late age his body wouldn't as flexible as chae rok, so he didn't dream much. as long as he could present a simple ballet performance on stage, it would be enough for him. so i guess, make a reachable dream and be persistent about it.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- only 12 episodes! can we see more? but then the story would seem unnatural.. oh well..</div><div><br miscalculated my speed in watching dramas and watched vincenzo and then had to wait because they delayed it for a week. it's irritating especially since it was toward the end. having to wait for two weeks in a row is bothersome. anyway, if you've been waiting for song joong ki, then have fun watching it.<div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a warn you if you're waiting for a romance drama, then you'd better skip it. there are only two kissing scenes in the whole drama. anyway, if you're thinking is a straight thriller/ crime drama, you might be mistaken as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>vincenzo cassano (song joong ki) is a italian-born-korean mafia lawyer known as consigliere who fled to korea after being betrayed by his "brother in the mafia". he decided to make plan for his retirement. during his time in italy, he's helped a chinese tycoon hid his gold. there were only two people that knew about the stash besides the tycoon himself. however, the tycoon died suddenly and no one seemed to know about his gold stash. so he contacted his previous colleague, cho young woon (choi young joon) and told him about his plan to dig the gold, which is stashed under the basement of geumga plaza. even though the deed was named under mr. cho, but there was this company, babel group that has been buying all land surrounding geumga plaza for a new development plan. the company has been persuading all tenants in geumga plaza as well, but they resisted. the tenants were getting help from hong yoo chan (yoo jae myung), a lawyer from jipuragi law firm. however, his own daughter, hong cha young (jeon yeo bin), lawyer from wusang law firm, was their opponent. and though the father has been fighting fair and square, that's not the case with his daughter. being in wusang, she's told to use all ways possible as long as they won the case. and so she did. she made her own father lost the first trial.</div><div><br /></div><div>when vincenzo arrived and being introduced to the tenants by mr. cho, all the tenants plus yoo chan were suspicious of vincenzo's motive. but his action defending the tenants from the gangster that babel hired made them believe him a bit. anyway, after that, several misfortunate events started to happen. mr. cho was threatened in his own home that pushed him into signing off geumga plaza to babel gangster. and yoo chan was murdered in an accidents. the police concluded that it was a mere accident, but vincenzo was suspicious that it wasn't natural. however, her father's death was a shocking event to cha young. she found out that wusang has been tainted her father as a corrupt lawyer that accepted bribe. somehow that event opened her eyes and she realized how bad wusang was and quit her job at wusang and joined jipuragi. she decided to fight for the people her father has been fighting for. with the help from vincenzo.</div><div><br /></div><div>this is where the story became interesting. instead of going the conventional way to win a case, both vincenzo and cha young invented tricks to turn things around for their favour. with help from the whole geumga plaza, they managed to turn around the first trial. however, things became a bit heated up because choi myung hee (kim yeo jin), a former prosecutor from southeast district prosecutor office, joined wusang as a senior lawyer. she was more ruthless than cha young's former wusang CEO, han seung hyuk (jo han chul). geumga team's first attack was babel chemical that produced opioid painkiller drug, the case that yoo chan lost because of cha young. they managed to burn down the warehouse with the help from the victim's family. that gave a big blow to babel. we also saw that the current babel's chairman, jang han seo (kwak dong yeon) was not the real chairman as he suffered a big blow from a masked man after the warehouse has burnt down. </div><div><br /></div><div>things became a bit complicated as vincenzo still have a hidden agenda, to dig the gold. and somehow the tenants found out about the gold from a stranger. the stranger claimed to overheard the conversation from the former workers whom obviously got killed afterward. at first the tenants laughed at the idea, but they became curious and started to search for the gold themselves. oh i also forgot to mention that vincenzo's arrival in korea was noticed by ahn gi seok (im chul soo), a team leader of international security intelligence service. he went undercover in geumga plaza to observe vincenzo. but as he kept doing it, he became mesmerised by vincenzo and helped him with his resource.</div><div><br /></div><div>however, babel has been fighting back. the victim families were murdered. as well as the original gangster. they were almost killed as well but after they're safe, they stood against babel and defended geumga tenants. things got even more complicated when both jipuragi and geumga found out that there's a guillotine file hidden among the gold under the basement. the file had a list of all corruptors in the government, from the police department, prosecutor, even to assemblymen and their colleagues. also, mr.cho was apparently a worker from intelligence service as well. he was appointed to get the guillotine file but the prosecutor betrayed him. vincenzo and mr. cho was managed to get into the vault initially but they got into altercation for a bit but later they got along again as vincenzo found out about mr. cho background as intelligence officer. however, the only way to get into the vault was gone so they had to find another way. vincenzo hid the truth that he kept the file himself and planned to use it to fight babel. they also found out that the hacker that built the vault system has been near them all along. it was one of the tenants! </div><div><br /></div><div>long story short, things got more heated up as the real CEO showed himself. it was jang han seok (ok taecyon), former colleagues of cha young in wusang. he was even more evil and has been one since his school days apparently. together with myung hee, they made a scary pair. han seok managed to kill vincenzo's real mom. while han seo was jumping ship and helped vincenzo. seung hyuk was trying to save himself but ended up getting nothing. it's been back and forth betweeen geumga team and babel all over the season, and it wasn't until the last two episodes that vincenzo decided to take things into his own hands. han seok kidnapped both han seo and cha young, ended up killing han seo while vincenzo and cha young managed to escape. vincenzo then decided to go all out and kidnapped myung hee and burnt her to death. while han seok was killed by a slow and painful way, by a drilled that was piercing to his body slowly and got eaten by crows halfway. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- they managed to keep things between cha young and vincenzo just the way it is. though there were hints about their romance, but at the end, they end up make people guessing what's next for them. halfway i thought they would go the typical way and made vincenzo feel for cha young head over heels, but i'm glad they didn't do that.</div><div>- though vincenzo appeared as softie as first, at the end he kept his fierce killing way by giving painful death to both myung hee and han seok.</div><div>- the whole geumga gang is awesome. they seemed to be weird at first, but they were the comedians in the drama. they give a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere to the drama. their fighting spirit is something else as well. and not forgetting the former gangster crew. all of them are really entertaining.</div><div>- the storyline is interesting as well. each episode gave a twisting turn. sometimes geumga will win, and sometimes they will lose to babel. you'd be up and down throughout the drama. like feeling devastated when the family victims getting murdered but then shout in joy when realizing that han seo was just pretending all along and keep supporting vincenzo.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- typical "people with money get the power" storyline. how han seok used his money to get away from murder charges years ago and even up until vincenzo arrived he kept winning his way using his money.<br /></div><div>- corrupt people in the police department and prosecutor story again. this one is more devastating though. with people like myung hee using all her might to get the result that she wanted, even if it meant killing someone else. </div><div>- cha young is a bit over acting sometimes. how a lawyer could act like that? i thought lawyers should be deadly serious in doing their job, but she was.. odd. oh well, maybe that's what the writer and director wanted, so i might be mistaken. however, my husband kept complaining that she wasn't a good companion for handsome song joong ki and kept saying that she's average. </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 9/10</div><div>binge worthy: absolutely</div><div>recommended for: fans of song joong ki and ok taecyon, those who like crime story mixed with some life story as well and don't mind the corruption behind it again, and not afraid of some gory scenes since there would be so much bloody scenes and don't mind the minimal romance story.</div></div>Nikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16075399847172075758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435025837855310554.post-34313191023907072722021-05-10T04:55:00.005-07:002021-05-10T04:55:48.348-07:00a love so beautiful<div style="text-align: left;">i don't know what's gotten into my mind when i decided to watch this. honestly this would be similar to "love alarm" since the setting is in high school, but i bet the love story is cheesier than love alarm one. after watching a few episodes, i found out that this is a chinese drama remake. i didn't watch the chinese version, so i won't make any comparison.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a /></div><div>shin sol-i (so joo yeon) is a cheerful high school girl. she had forever crush with her neighbour, cha heon (kim yo han). they lived in the same apartment and both family has known each other since their childhood. she repeatedly told chae heon that she has feeling for him, but chae heon kept rejecting her. however, things are going to change when woo dae song (yeo hoe hyun) came as a transfer student and fell in love with sol i.</div><div><br /></div><div>sol i kept trying to show her feeling to cha heon and even though on the outside he seemed cold, soon enough he had soft spot for sol i but he tried to hide it. he couldn't control himself when he saw sol i with dae song. burnt with jealousy, he said mean things to sol i and regretted it afterward. but when sol i was down and was thinking of transferring school, cha heon couldn't hide his feeling any longer and begged sol i not to transfer school. </div><div><br /></div><div>then we saw some good memories, some painful memories shared between cha heon and sol i. well, those memories were the usual high schooler memories, when they found out about their feelings, crush and dreams. on the side, we saw jeong jin hwan, their fellow classmates who have been forever liking kang ha yeong (jo hye joo). at first she didn't have any feeling for him, but later after watching his sincere actions for her, she couldn't help but falling in love with him. however, jin hwan apparently had a serious heart condition and at first he tried to hide it from ha yeong. but she kept her feeling even though she found out about jin hwan's condition. both of them made a cute couple. leaving only dae song behind. we also saw some of dae song's family problem. from his grandmother who suffered dementia, to his dad that he called as coach and not dad. he was also pressured to become a number 1 swimmer and he was facing a block when his shoulder injury got worse. however, with sol i cheering him up, he decided to go through physical therapy and started over.</div><div><br /></div><div>sol i and cha heon push-pull relationship lasted until the last year of high school. being smart and always got number one in class didn't help much for cha heon. his mother wanted him to pursue mathematic academy, while heon had other idea because of sol i. he chose to be a doctor. things were different for sol i. her scores were not good at all, but she was good in art. she was worried she couldn't pass the college exam. and she was right. all her friends were accepted into college but she failed. heon cheered her up and told her to try again the next year, but into the art department. heon promised to help her. at this point, it was clearly shown that heon had feeling for sol i, but she didn't have the confidence to say so. but later on heon's dinner party with his fellow medical students, heon admitted publicly that she was his girlfriend. he even kissed her even though she was drunk. </div><div><br /></div><div>well, things were sweeter on their college days. heon and sol i was in love and publicly showed it. however, things were a bit different once they graduated. sol i couldn't land any jobs while heon got busier. sol i was harassed by her former colleagues as well, and when she was feeling down, she heard the news of heon going to be sent abroad. feeling betrayed, she didn't give heon any chance to explain and just left when heon had some emergency to take care of. she even moved without telling heon. on his departure day, heon hoped sol i would come to say goodbye, but she resisted. 3 years passed, heon decided to go back to korea. jin hwan was about to get married to ha yeong after surviving his cardiac surgery. meanwhile dae song had become a famous swimmer and he still had feelings for sol i. thinking that heon wasn't there anymore, he decided to get close to sol i again. unfortunately, they met at the hospital when sol i's dad was sick. </div><div><br /></div><div>long story short, heon decided to fight for sol i. it's a bit funny watching cool heon trying to win sol i's heart. even arranged a cheesy proposal for sol i. meanwhile, dae song proposed sol i and get rejected once again, but he decided not to let heon get away. if heon was serious about sol i, then he agreed to back down. meanwhile, sol i managed to land a contract of a book with the same title as the drama on her own. at the end, we could see that sol i got back with heon, while poor dae song left alone once again.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- lightweight cheerful story about high school romance which grow into adulthood romance. </div><div>- there's no villain in this story. there might be some misunderstandings between heon and sol i, but their love struggles was mainly because of misunderstandings and not some villains trying their best to set them apart.</div><div>- they also tell the story of each one struggles to transition from youth to adulthood. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- gee.. can't they pick someone else as main actress? i get that so joo yeon is cute and perfect to present a high schooler despite her age, but beside kim yo han, somehow i feel she's lacking.</div><div>- i believe this is kim yo han's first gig as main actor, and sometimes i feel his acting needs improvement. but i guess it's okay since he's quite good looking and managed to portray that cool act.</div><div>- i bet the problem between heon and sol i is quite common. when one of the pair succeed extraordinarily and the other is just plain, some misunderstanding might rise and one might feel inferior toward the other. </div><div>- slow storyline. but at least they make each episode short, so even though it has many episodes love<div style="text-align: left;">i totally forgot which one that i watched first, this one or the chinese adapted drama. anyway, this is the second drama of choi si won and kang so ra that i watched. previously i watched si won in park seon jun's drama "she was pretty" and kang so ra from some drama with lee jong suk. anyway, i've seen the trailer several times, so i guess why not try watching it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a left;">genre: romantic drama</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">byun hyuk (choi si won) is the second son of gangsu group dynasty. he's well known for his carefree, irresponsible and reckless behaviour. he had made lots of mistake in the past and this time was no better. he was accused of sexually-harassed a flight attendant, ha yeon hee (kim ye won). under byun woo sung (lee jae yoon)'s, byun hyuk's older brother, order, kwon jae hoon (gong myung) was sent to sweep things under the rug. however, it backfired as the video was leaked to the public. enraged by his latest scandal, his father kicked him out of their home. he hid at his usual hotel per jae hoon's order, when he saw baek joon (kang so ra). she was involved in an altercation with his previous girlfriend. and he was amazed watching how baek joon wouldn't back down even when she was accused of stealing. at the end, baek joon was proven innocent. unfortunately, byun hyuk was borrowing some hotel officer's clothes when he was roaming around and he was denied to his room and even kicked out of the hotel. but baek joon helped him without knowing his real identity. the fun began when baek joon asked her long-time friend to accept the stranger, when the friend was jae hoon. he was surprised as well when byun hyuk showed up in his apartment. he let hyuk stayed in his apartment to keep watch of him as well as to keep his good side in front of baek joon. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">things got a bit funny as hyuk decided to keep his cover as a low-life person in front of baek joon. jae hoon had no other choice than to follow. since hyuk told joon that he was fired as well, joon kindly got a part time job for hyuk. hyuk then realized how hard it is to be a part timer and how hard it is to earn some money. but his cover didn't last long as apparently, the flight attendant was in the same apartment as jae hoon and baek joon. since his cover was blown, hyuk had no other choice to admit about his identity. but he stayed firm saying that he was innocent and all was misunderstanding. he told the whole story to joon, who believed him, but told him to make amend with yeon hee. at first, he didn't know what to do, since his father and brother have been using money to solve all problems. but he found out that a sincere apology was the only thing needed. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">decided to make some change, hyuk decided to stay at jae hoon's and kept following joon wherever she went. they even got into cleaning part time job together, even when hyuk found out that he was cleaning the company building. his father was happy to see hyuk finally decided to be responsible of something. even though he didn't approve of joon. little by little hyuk did a change into the company policy even though he did it to help joon, but his good intention became beneficial to other part timers as well. worried that his position might change, woo sung told jae hoon to keep watch of hyuk and kept reporting to him straight. however, jae hoon started to realize the feud. at first he thought woo sung was sincerely wanted to help hyuk out of trouble, but he started to become suspicious as hyuk's case kept being leaked to the public even though jae hoon had swept it under rug. this made hyuk's name became bad in front of the shareholders and his father as well. the order made jae hoon realized that hyuk has been right all this time, that he was innocent but didn't get the chance to prove his innocence.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">anyway, when hyuk made the wrong choice when he was trying to help joon, he had no other choice but to apply for a position in the company. together with joon, they studied together and passed the elimination test. however, during the interview, hyuk initially didn't pass, but joon passed. however, she didn't want to accept the position hence hyuk got the spot. being clueless about his job, joon helped him. but she found out the truth about her father, who has been wrongly accused by gangsu group and got fired. determined to make amend to joon, hyuk decided to work harder. though there was mishap here and there, joon and the cleaning crew helped him along the way. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">on the other side, there was this police officer who initially wanted to catch hyuk. but since the case was closed, he was transferred to another department. funny thing was, he moved into the same apartment as the others. it was funny when yeon hee got drunk and mistakenly thinking she was going into her apartment, when it was the police officer's. yeon hee was mistakenly thinking jae hoon was having a crush on her while the truth was jae hoon has been in love with joon since college days. and the police officers eventually got smitten by yeon hee. anyway. hyuk has been working hard to change the way the company was, while jae hoon has been working on something else. he was working together with the police office to reveal hyuk's father dark secret.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">well, it's been a long fight, but at the end, hyuk finally found out the hard truth about his family. his father has been embezzling money by making another company to avoid taxes. this company was in charge of several smaller companies that handle packaging, raw materials and part timers. all his father cared about was money and position, and never thought of people. jae hoon decided to help the police officers to gather evidence against hyuk's father even though it meant endangering his life. but at the end, hyuk decided to take the matter into his hand and together with joon and the whole cleaning crew, he handed the evidence to the police and told his father to surrender. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at last, hyuk finally managed to change the way the company operated. they changed into clean management now and treated people more humanly. hyuk and his brother got along now since they didn't have to fight for their inheritance and hyuk father was imprisoned for his wrongdoings. jae hoon confessed his feeling to joon but he didn't allow joon to answer, knowing that he might get rejected. joon decided to go travelling before deciding what to do next. at first she thought hyuk was angry with her decision but she was surprised finding hyuk sitting next to her in the same plane.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- refreshing take at how the people managed to turn the table around and the people in power accepted the punishment at the end.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- how hyuk's mom is really nice. at first i thought she would be those rich moms who would do anything for their kids, but she was really nice toward joon even though joon's mom was mistakenly thought hyuk's mom was jae hoon's mom. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- at least hyuk and jae hoon fought for joon fairly. how hyuk gave time for jae hoon to confess his feeling to joon even though he was worried that joon might accept jae hoon's feeling.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- another rich family feud as background story.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- and not forgetting corruption, embezzlement and stuff which is usual.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- sometimes i think kang sora's acting is a bit too much, but it's still okay. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- slow story progression, not too mention the problem is typical. nothing revolutionary if i have to say.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: left;">rating: 7/10</div><div style="text-align: left;">binge to finish the other two dramas i've watched before. the first one should be run on. honestly i don't know anything about the drama when i watched it. i never watch any shin se kyung's drama before, so this is the first time i watch hers.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a sprinter. but he was no ordinary sprinter. his mother is the famous actress yook ji woo (cha hwa yeon) while his father is an assemblyman ki jung do (park yeong gyu). his sister is professional golf player, ki eun bi (ryu sun young). just like other rich and famous family, his family is a bit dysfunctional. his father was too focus on his political career, while his mother didn't want to get dragged by her husband's career and decided to make her name known to the world, thus she kept accepting acting jobs. he was in good relationship with his sister, but since she was busy with tournaments and stuff, they didn't get to meet often. especially now that he is in the national track team.</div><div><br /></div><div>while oh mi joo (shin se kyung) is a struggling translator. trying to get jobs here and there, her latest translating job worked well as the film goes to international indie film festival. however, people only talked about the director, which apparently was her ex-boyfriend. she then got annoyed by her former professor since he was quite sexist in comment. couldn't resist herself, she got back to the professor and ran away from the gathering. she bumped into seon gyeom whom strangely helped her get away from her ex who chased her so she could say sorry to her professor. unfortunately, she regretted her impulsive action and she was begging to her professor since she needed some translating job to keep make some living. he then appointed her to become the assemblyman's son' translator.</div><div><br /></div><div>however, before her official meet, she met seon gyeom again by accident. she was chasing a deceptive fake gun seller when the thief bumped lee young hwa (kang tae oh). seon gyeom was there as well and he borrowed tae oh's painting tube and threw it to the thief. tae oh immediately ran off since he didn't want to get in trouble with the police. while seon gyeom had no choice but to be the witness for the case. wanted to thank seon gyeom, mi joo asked for his number and promised to buy him meal to show her gratitude. things became a bit merrier when seo dan ah (choi soo young), seon gyeom's agency director, found out that the assemblyman hired mi joo behind her back. intrigued to find out what kind of person mi joo was, she met mi joo only to bicker one another. however, she approved of mi joo to be seon gyeom's translator.</div><div><br /></div><div>long story short, things became interesting when seon gyeom decided to stand up against his fellow team mates who have been bullying their junior, another fellow team mates, kim woo shik (lee jung ha). he assaulted the bully with hope that his case would end up in disciplinary committee table so he could give hope to woo shik so woo shik got some courage and stood up against them and brought all the evidence to their coach. then the bully would be punished. however, assemblyman decided to make a stop to the case which enraged seon gyeom. with the help from mi joo and dan ah, seon gyeom managed to let the case out in public. however, he decided to retire from the team and the coach fired woo shik at the end. the assemblyman was angry at mi joo for not obeying his command, and fired her as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>well, you can predict the rest. seon gyeom got kick out of the house, so he stayed at mi joo's place for awhile. both became interested in each other. later seon gyeom's father found out about their relationship and confronted mi joo to leave seon gyeom. they broke up for awhile but seon gyeom begged her and won her heart back. at the side, we could see another story about dan ah family. she was the original heir to her father's dynasty, but her father had two other sons from other women aside from her mother and made the first son legally older than dan ah so he could inherited the company. however, dan ah had been fighting him tirelessly and at the end, she could beat him with the help from her second step brother, seo tae woong (choi jae hyun), an idol that adored dan ah. </div><div><br /></div><div>dan ah saw young hwa's painting at a cafe and became interested in young hwa's work. initially she wanted him to paint her something so she could beat her first step brother. but young hwa was falling in love at the first sight. he cutely and slowly made dan ah fell for him. however, when dan ah's father died, young hwa decided to step back from their relationship so dan ah could focus in winning her father's inheritance. when dan ah finally got her place, somehow they met again. at the end, both couple got back together, but there were no clear explanation about young hwa-dan ah relationship, while seon gyeom and mi joo's was official. </div><div><br /></div><div>i forgot to tell you that in the process, assemblyman ki tried too hard to keep his position and even used eun bi to portray that he was a good father. however his plan fired back at him and he lost his position. seon gyeom's mom for the first time stood up against her husband and asked for divorce to protect her kids. but at the end we saw ex-assemblyman came to ji woo's movie premier and wanted to make amend with her. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- well... at least it is a happy ending story.</div><div>- i like the second couple chemistry better. it's cute watching soo young and tae oh together. </div><div>- at least here we see seon gyeom is fighting against bullying even though it meant he would lose his position. he knew he had some privilege and he used it to do good for other. and he didn't mind to work when he got kick out of the house. </div><div>- at least shin se kyung can really talk english fluently without korean accent.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- some actors and actresses are stiff. like seon gyeom. maybe they wanted him to be a bit weird and stiff. but still... too weird. and most foreign actors were stiff as well.</div><div>- weird conversation. i don't know if this is only translation problem, but in the first episodes you would see that seon gyeom and mi joo's interaction were weird. like they are talking in their own languages but still connected somehow. </div><div>- another hierarchy problem. like how mi joo at first stood up against her professor but later took back her comment since she had to get some work, and the professor is powerful enough to not give her any translation job. </div><div>- another political/family dysfunction. can't assemblyman's family or rich family be a real happy family for once?</div><div>- slow pace story. and what kind of problem is that? mi joo asked for break up just because his father told her to back off and hurt her feeling. it's kind of lame.</div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 6.5/10</div><div>binge worthy: no</div><div>recommended for: fans of im si wan, shin se kyung, kang tae oh and choi soo young, those who like slow pace drama do you like brahms?i was waiting for either vincenzo or navillera, so i have to watch something else in the meantime. i blame kim min jae for making me curious about this drama. it's not popular drama</div><div><br /></div><div>chae song ah (park eun bin) was a music major student in violin department. she was older than her classmates because she had graduated from business major before going back to school. despite her family's disapproval, she persevered. however, she still came last in her class even though she worked hard. she was about to play in her first orchestra when the conductor decided to kick her out. she wanted to play badly and begged the conductor but he kept on humiliating her. that's when she met park joon young (kim min jae). joon young dropped his music book to stop the conductor from humiliating her even further but she kept getting kicked out from the orchestra. later joon young saw her when she met her friend and when she was going back and protecting her violin case from the rain. </div><div><br /></div><div>joon young himself was a piano genius that has been playing piano since 6 years old. he won several piano competition that sent him abroad. however, he came second in chopin competition and people start to question his career. his personal life was complicated as well. his father had a habit of being in debt, his mother kept covering from him and asking money from joon young. he used his prize money to pay his father's debt but he didn't know that behind him, his liaison with kyung ho foundation and the foundation CEO's granddaughter has been helping his father as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>fate brought them together. song ah decided to work at kyung ho foundation as intern during summer break, and joon young who announced that he would go on sabbatical for a year, only agreed to perform on kyung ho's anniversary concert thus he had to practice sometimes at kyung ho's building. song ah herself asked permission to practice during her lunch break, so she had to coordinate with joon young so both of them wouldn't step on each other toes. she was about to get to her practice when she heard joon young played "traumerei" and that moment she felt consoled by his music. anyway, several occasion led us to think that joon young started to have a crush on song ah.</div><div><br /></div><div>however, problems came when both of them met again at the airport. song ah picked up her mentor as well as her friend, yoon dong yoon (lee yoo jin). she liked him and thanked him for teaching her violin, but her best friend, kang min sung (bae da bin) also like him as well. that's why song ah has kept her feelings to herself. meanwhile, joon young picked up his best friend, a cellist, han hyun ho (kim sung cheol). but he was surprised when he saw CEO's granddaughter, lee jung kyung (park ji hyun) was there as well. hyun ho and jung kyung has been in relationship for the past 10 years, however, at joon young's last recital, jung kyung stopped by and suddenly kissed him after the recital that made joon young confused as he liked jung kyung but he was aware of his condition, so he decided to put some distance between them. talking about double love triangle... </div><div><br /></div><div>anyway, song ah was put in charge for the trio (joon young, hyun ho and jung kyung) so she met him quite often. that made jung kyung a bit jealous as she saw joon young's attention for song ah. she decided to confess her feeling but joon young declined her. however, hyun ho who didn't know about it at first, found out about it and broke up with jung kyung, leaving the trio on the line. while song ah, after the internship, got back to school and had to decide what to do next. she started to question her choice as well as her feeling as she started to like joon young. she confessed her feeling to joon young, but he told her to wait as he wanted to clear his mind and feeling first. on the side, song ah's professor suggested her to apply for master program and told her that she would be her mentor, only to let song ah did petty tasks as her assistant but she didn't do anything to help song ah improved as violinist. she even let song ah ran here and there to prepare for her chamber concert, making song ah thinking that she was included in the chamber as well but at the end told song ah that she was just her assistant.</div><div><br /></div><div>while joon young had to face the truth about his father once again. he had to make money to cover his father's debt as he didn't want to keep indebted to the CEO and jung kyung. but jung kyung who tried to tie joon young, kept paying his father's debt behind joon young's knowledge. his agency also ended his contract with the foundation, leaving the foundation in jeopardy as well. however, joon young made his move for song ah and decided to confess his feeling. even he went public about their relationship. however, the piano genius couldn't be with the mere violinist. his new manager told him to break up with song ah or at least kept their relationship quiet. but joon young refused it. the new manager then turned to song ah and pressured her to think about joon young's career. making song ah even downhearted since she found out that jung kyung also made her move to win joon young. joon young himself tried to enter tchaikovsky competition but he had to face his former mentor whom he didn't like. at the end, the mentor betrayed him (he uploaded joon young's playing traumerei to youtube while joon young has promised song ah that he won't play the song again. joon young was playing it for one last time when it was recorded and he tried to take it down before song ah listened it, but jung kyung told song ah about it and made her question joon young's feelings for her) and he decided to sever their relationship for good. </div><div><br /></div><div>song ah herself was feeling down as she couldn't seem to play her song well. her piano accompanist bailed out on her suddenly. joon young offered to play as her accompanist but song ah refused. joon young himself had promised jung kyung to be her accompanist for her recital to win the professor position in the university. however, she was in feud with her former professor and she had to pull back her application for the position. while hyun ho at first persuaded by the CEO, applied for the professor position as well. but last minute he pulled his application and accepted the offer to play cello in an orchestra abroad. song ah at the end decided to break up with joon young, making them both suffered and got sick.</div><div><br /></div><div>when joon young was able to pull himself back, he decided to withdraw from the competition and started to play music he didn't want to play before, brahms', song ah's favorites. on the CEO's funeral, song ah met joon young again. didn't want to lose song ah, he offered to play as song ah accompanist on her recital. song ah herself decided she won't play violin again after the graduation. it's quite a shame though as her performance with joon young was quite awesome. anyway, joon young confessed his feeling again on his recital (they were both graduating at the same time, so he had to hold a recital as well) through his music and his words. all songs in his programme were brams, clara and schumann. and after thinking a lot after her recital, song ah decided that she still had feeling for joon young. </div><div><br /></div><div>at the end we saw joon young and song ah were still going strong. song ah worked for the foundation and joon young kept playing piano again. hyun ho and jung kyung were okay, but they were not back together. the trio was still playing at the concert, only this time for the CEO memorial.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- how joon young was quite sure of his feeling. even though he looked shy, but he made all the first move. from trying to be with song ah with the ice cream scene, to accompany her to his hometown. even he was willing to go public about their relationship. i guess it's a shame that jung kyung kept interfering with joon young-song ah's relationship.</div><div>- how they try to portray that music is a kind of language. it can comforts you and even speaks your feelings. applause for both kim min jae and park eun bin as they both played the instrument in the drama, though maybe not all scenes, but mostly they played it themselves. </div><div>- also they really portrayed the ugliness in the classic music world. how all moms tried to get the best mentor for their children and pushed their children to practice to win competition or to get scholarship. and how music genius can turned to be ordinary as time goes by. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- too many problems. like the double love triangle. gee.. can't they make it more simple? and also all the tricks between the professors. too many politics.</div><div>- sometimes i feel some supporting actors and actresses were not natural. like the one of the moms in the drama, and even jung kyung. </div><div>- the drama feels flat. even the conflict is just that. not exploding or whatever. my husband was beside me when there was this scene of joon young and song ah involved in an argument. when it was ended, my husband asked "is that all? that wasn't barely an argument!" hahaha.. </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 7/10</div><div>binge worthy: not really</div><div>recommended for: kim min jae's alarm 2<div style="text-align: left;">you might ask, haven't i watched love alarm 2 yet? well, i have. in fact maybe two days after it's being premiered i already watched it. i skip the premiere date because it was my birthday. i don't like watching it on my birthday because the ending might not in song kang's favor. oh well.. i don't have any grudge against jung ga ram either, but still.. anyway.. let's talk about it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">title: love alarm season 2</div><div style="text-align: left;">cast: kim so hyun, jung ga ram, song kang</div><div style="text-align: left;">genre: romantic drama</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">love alarm 2 ended with a big question, which one would jo jo pick? sun oh or hye yeong? in this second season, we saw that jo jo tried to meet love alarm developer to get rid of the shield. at the end of season 1, we saw that jo jo agreed to date hye yeong. hye yeong promised to wait even though jojo might not be able to ring his love alarm. meanwhile, sun oh was still couldn't forget jojo. he still rang jojo's love alarm every time he was within 10 m distance with jojo even though now he has yuk joo on his side. he blatantly told yuk joo that he might not be able to ring her love alarm, and at first yuk joo was okay with it, until she saw sun oh rang jojo's love alarm.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">jojo tried to search for duk gu to her almamater only to encounter sun oh again. her effort was failed since her teacher told her that duk gu has passed away. meanwhile, hye yeong learnt the truth about his father. apparently his father was a murder convict that was about to undergo parole review. hye yeong decided to go instead of his mother. while jo jo tried to meet brian chon (ki do hoon), a man that claimed to be love alarm developer. however, when jojo confronted him about the shield and asked him to delete the shield, brian had nothing to do with it, leaving jojo devastated as she thought any programmer could remove the shield. sun oh overheard their conversation and confronted both jojo and brian. he decided not to trust love alarm and seek the truth from jojo herself as he believed jojo still has feelings for him. on the side, we saw brian in his office, monitoring someone lying in bed tied to several medical equipments from his table. was that person duk gu? and what was his relationship with brian?</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">hye yeong tried to hide the truth about his father as he was afraid that he might turn out to be like his father. but at the end he decided to tell the truth to jojo. jojo accompanied hye yeong when hye yeong was scheduled to meet his father, and later she gave consolation to hye yeong. sun oh on the other hand, after finding out about the shield, tried to confront jojo at jojo's university. the whole class went into uproar when the famous sun oh dropped at their class, confronting jojo. once again, jojo's quiet life went into chaos as once again, people talked about her again.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">that incident made hye yeong angry because sun oh has been thinking about himself first, and not jojo. both guys fought for the first time. meanwhile, there was a creepy man following jojo because jojo wa the artist behind "the ringing world" instagram page. there was another murder case related to love alarm again. this time the police demanded the company to hand over the record of the murder victim so they could find out who rang the victim's love alarm for the last time. but the company refused telling the police that they wiped the record regularly. but all the workers doubted that statement. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">after the fight, hye yeong gave jojo some time to think about her feeling. meanwhile jojo confronted sun oh and told him that he wasn't the one for her this time. broken hearted, sun oh came back to yuk joo only to find that yuk joo was about to go to US to take care of her contract. while jojo miraculously got a spear. the spear enabled the user to ring other person love alarm's by their choice. so jojo instantly met with hye yeong only to ring his love alarm. but later hye yeong found out about the shield and the spear and questioned whether jojo really like him or was it just to cast away sun oh.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at the end, the most wanted person throughout the second season, duk gu, finally appeared. jojo's hunch about duk gu being the developer was right. duk gu was the real developer and he gave jojo both the shield and the spear. while brian was duk gu's brother. at the end, jojo told sun oh about her decision and sun oh finally came in term with it. while duk gu met with hye yeong and explained everything about jojo, the shield and the spear. so you'd probably guessed who jojo chose to be with. yep. hye yeong. while sun oh tried to wait for yuk joo and he did the same thing as hye yeong. even though he couldn't ring yuk joo's alarm just yet, he would keep coming and believing that someday he would ring hers.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- all characters were adult now, some character does mature. like hye yeong and sun oh. especially sun oh. i think his character matures more than others. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- at least they didn't kill duk gu. but still... i can't believe he gave jojo a spear in addition to the shield. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- gul mi got mature as well. she started helping out in the minimart even though at first it was only for getting more hearts so she could join the love alarm club. however, while doing that, she realized her mom has been doing that for years and then understand her mom better.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- so many holes in the second season. so many questions. like why they make sun oh's mom suddenly cared for him? she even could see the different when sun oh started to see jojo again and not. why made her care when there were no more stories about her? like they didn't reconcile or such, so why bother? </div><div style="text-align: left;">- talking about holes, why popping hye yeong dad as well? when at the end his dad didn't get out of jail on parole because hye yeong refused to do so. and the problem with the dad didn't affect his relationship with jojo much, so why popping the "dad" factor?</div><div style="text-align: left;">- jojo still wasn't honest with hye yeong. with sun oh, she could tell him everything at the end so sun oh came to term with her reason of choosing the shield back then. but why not telling hye yeong the reason she chose the shield back then and the spear now? why should duk gu tell hye yeong about it? it's supposed to be jojo who did that. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- why bother making second season when they could finish it in the first season just by adding several episodes? 6 episodes in the second one is not enough to answer the holes in the first and second season. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">rating: 7/10</div><div again<div style="text-align: left;">i'm running out of series to watch so i decided to give this drama a try. i've heard so many praises for this drama, but since i don't quite like the female main actress, i've been postponing to watch it. anyway, since i don't have anything to watch, i decided to give it a try. after all, this is a drama that landed lee do hyun as a young rising star beside song kang this year. anyway, you might guess from the title that it sounds similar to an american movie, and you're right. it's an adaptation from 17 again, starred by zac efron.</div><div left;">genre: family drama, a bit romantic </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">jung da jung (kim ha neul) and hong dae yong (yoon sang hyun) were married since their high school days by accident and they had fraternal twins, hong shi ah (roh jeong eui) and hong shi woo (ryeoun). as like other couple, they have their ups and downs, but never in dae yong's mind that he would get divorced. suddenly da jung asked for divorce. even worse, he didn't get promotion at work. his family was insulted as well so he got angry at his superior and was fired right away. he has been drinking and found himself back at the high school where he used to go. he was shooting balls and then went to his bestfriend's house when the next morning he woke up in his 18 years old body. couldn't figure out how to get back to his old body, he decided to re do his life as a high schooler. his best friend, go deok jin (kim kang hyun) helped him to get into his old high school, the same one from 18 years ago, as well as the same school as his twins. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">in his 18 years old body, he found out truth about his family that he didn't know before. he realized lately he's been quite distance with his kids and wife as well. even though he had tried to find out why, he failed. but in his 18 years old body, he managed to find out that his daughter got a part time job, his son was bullied at school. he decided to get closer to his kids while he's being their "friend". apparently, shi woo was interested in basketball but was afraid because he was afraid he would fail like his dad. everyone kept reminding him of his dad's failure when his dad was on top of his basketball career. he was bullied by basketball captain goo ja sung (hwang in yeop) as well. however, dae yong managed to stop the bullying and helped shi woo gained more confidence in basketball and managed to get into the school team.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">i think i'll write for each person instead of the chronological in the drama as it's quite confusing because the drama had so many throwbacks. okay.. let's talk about shi woo first. after he made into school's team, we found out that the current basketball coach, choi il kwon (lee ki woo) was dirty. he pressured all parents from the basketball team to give him bribes if they want their kids to play in the team, or to be placed as certain position and be promoted to university coach. including ja sung's dad. ja sung found out that his dad has been paying bribe to the coach and confronted him about it. his dad simply said that ja sung was not good enough so the coach had asked him to pay. accidentally, shi woo saw when ja sung's dad hit him when ja sung stood up to his dad, and it made him embarrassed since shi woo found out that he got his place in the team because of the bribe. but after dae yong stopped him, he became a bit okay with shi woo, especially since he had a crush on shi ah. anyway, il kwon also pressure da jung and deok jin as well, but both of them refused to give him money even though he threatened them. da jung even got the courage to record il kwon but she was failed at first. but later, together with deok jin and chu ae rin (lee mi do), another old friend from high school's day that became a lawyer, they managed to get all other parents on board and reported il kwon and got rid of the bribery for good. we saw in throwbacks that il kwon's dad also paid bribe to their old coach, while dae yong's dad didn't. that made il kwon hated dae yong since it undermined his confidence (the feeling is similar to ja sung's). we also found out that il kwon told da jung that several years into college days, dae yong was offered a place in the university team although he didn't go to college, but he declined the offer because at that time, shi woo was sick and they needed extra money for his treatment, so dae yong decided to decline the offer to work as part-timer more. and that broke da jung's heart since she felt she was the obstruction of dae yong's basketball career. long story short, shi woo aced all year long and managed to score a place in university, the goal that has been dae yong's dream. while dae yong/goo woo young (lee do hyun) told shi woo that he was going back to the US and told shi woo to make friends with other players in the team (at that time, it was between two of them that would get the place, but since woo young was going to the US, the place naturally fell into shi woo).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">while shi ah was caught smoking at first. she told their teacher that it was her mother's which shocked dae yong since da jung wasn't a smoker. apparently, the e-cigarettes was meant for dae yong, but since they were fighting, she decided to keep it but shi ah saw her trying the cigarette and stole it without da jung's knowing. dae yong was taken aback because da jung has told him to stop smoking, but she bought him the e-cigarette that he was going to buy. shi ah also got a part time job because she wanted to be a makeup artist. she saw that makeup artist had quite a variety in their jobs so she didn't want to burden her parents with the academy tuition, so she tried to make her own money. but da jung found out about it and accepted shi ah's decision and decided to support her. dae yong as well, but in woo young's form. he was glad that the reason was not for extra pocket money to spend on taxi fares. however, there were some funny moments of woo young and shi ah, as woo young showed his care to shi ah as his dad, but since he was in 18 years old body, his affection was misunderstood. ja sung thought woo young as his competitor and it was funny since woo young told ja sung that shi ah liked to be proposed in public like school festival when in reality she didn't. ja sung asked shi ah in public like woo young suggested and it seemed like shi ah accepted him at first, but after the chaos at the festival, shi ah rejected him flat saying she had someone else in her mind. it's overheard by shi ah's friend since childhood, seo ji ho (choi bo min), who also had feeling for shi ah. however, ji ho managed to find out that woo young was shi ah's dad in his younger body, and that gave him the confidence to confess his feeling to shi ah.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">now the main part, da jung. da jung has always dreamt to be an announcer. she managed to finish her college even though she had postponed it due to giving birth to the twins and raising them. however, since she started late, she has been rejected here and there due to her age. she only managed to be freelanced announcer. however, she landed her gig at JBC through their blind test. however, people found out about her past, that she was a mother of a high schooler twins and she was divorcing her husband and that didn't work well for her career. even though she proved that she had the quality, she kept struggling to keep her position because so many gossips around her. she saw woo young couple times because he was friend with her kids, but she was confused by his attention. he was always there when she had a bad time and cheered her up. at first she suspected that he was da yeong, but deok jin assured her that woo young was his son as it was impossible for a 38 years old man to be a 18 years old boy. anyway, she met ye ji hoon (wi ha joon), a famous baseball athlete that was shi ah and dae yong's favorite on her first assignment. ji hoon was attracted by her confidence and determined to win her heart. he seemed nice, when a news broke out that he had a child. apparently, the child was his niece, daughter of his late brother that he adopted. however, he struggled to win his niece's heart. and da jung seemed easy to get along with his niece. with da jung's help, he managed to get closer to his niece. however, we found out later that apparently dae yong and ji hoon's late brother had met. both dae yong and ji hoon's brother was involved in the same car accident. dae yong saved the ji hoon's niece but failed to save ji hoon's brother as his car was exploded before he could save him. after finding out that his niece's saviour was da jung's ex-husband, he suddenly withdrew and told da jung if she was about to get back to her husband, he would accept her decision.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at the end, we saw that da jung after finding out so many hidden truth about her husband, found out that woo young was dae yong. their relationship was getting better, but da jung didn't want dae yong to fail again. she pushed woo young to join the last basketball championship, the same one that 18 years old dae yong failed to attend to pursue da jung. while dae yong was desperate to get back to his 37 years old body so he could get back to his family. da jung didn't want to be the same reason behind dae yong's failure, but dae yong said that he was the one that choose his family over his career and he would choose the same choice again. and suddenly he was back in his old body and reconciled with his family. at end we saw that they remarried, though their marriage was still not smooth as silk, but they managed to keep their communication in check. dae yong opened a basketball school, da jung was success as announcer. both shi ah and shi woo managed to get their dreams as well. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- solid acting from all actors and actress. though i would say that both shi ah and shi woo were a bit stiff in their acting, but it's still acceptable. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- enough laugh from deok jin, chu ae rin and ms. ok as well. it was amusing to see a homeroom teacher that was a game nerd as deok jin. and how funny watching his employee getting confused seeing woo young and deok jin interaction that was faraway from normal father-son relationship.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- lots of family story relatable to real life. get ready for lots of tear-breaking scenes.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- gee.. kim ha neul. not because she was bad, but somehow for me she didn't look like a motherly figure. and how they would dress her so hip. like the first time she went for her job, she wore short skirt. only after woo young pointed that it was too short for her that she changed into midi length skirt. somehow i wondered why korean dramas always dress their actress with short skirts. shouldn't they portray someone suitable for their age? being decent can still be stylish as well, isn't it?</div><div style="text-align: left;">- another story that a wife in their mid age especially the one that already has kids can't get back in her career. remember "romance is a bonus book"? it brought up the same issue. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">rating: 9/10</div><div style="text-align: left;">binge worthy: yes</div><div style="text-align: left;">recommended for: someone who like shorter family drama, combined with a bit romantic comedy as well. don't worry, there were some pretty boys to entertain you in this film.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br kang joon) was just 7 years old when suddenly his life changed overnight. his dad was (accused of) having suicide, and his mom was banned to live with him. he had to live with his grandpa who threatened him that he had to do that or his grandpa would harm his mom. his mom didn't know it and only told to stay away or her father in law would harm nam shin. his mother was a genius scientist in AI industry, so since she missed him so much, she built an AI robot that looked like nam shin completely and named him nam shin I. the first one couldn't smile and walked downstair, so she kept perfecting him and made him grow just like nam shin. so there were nam shin I (the childhood nam shin), nam shin II (the teenager nam shin) and finally nam shin III (adult nam shin/ seo kang joon). the adult nam shin III was almost perfect, only that he didn't have many experience in human relation. oh, i forgot to mention that dr. laura oh (kim sung ryung), nam shin's mom lived in czech republic. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">meanwhile, nam shin was still living in korea, under his grandfather's watch. he had a loyal assistant, ji young hoon (lee joon hyuk). shin was making a scene, getting a fight with one of his bodyguard who was caught taking his pictures, kang so bong (gong seung yeon). kang so bong ended up getting fired while shin caught his flight. at first young hoon thought he was going to the US, but shin called him that he was going somewhere else. he was going to czech republic, wanting to prove something.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">he was going to the same market as his mom and nam shin III were going, and he was facing nam shin III face to face when he was hit by a truck that made him went into coma. since shin was the only heir to his grandfather's company, his mom had no choice but to order nam shin III to take shin's place in order to secure it. his condition couldn't be known by other people in the company, especially by one of the director, seo jeong gil (yu oh seong). young hoon who immediately went to czech to catch up with shin met with dr. laura as well as david (choi deok moon). young hoon agreed to put nam shin III as shin's substitute and even taught nam shin III how to act like the real shin.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at first, only nam shin III, young hoon and dr. laura were back to korea, but after a suspicious man lurking around dr. oh's house, david decided to bring shin back to korea as well. back in korea, nam shin III managed to pose as shin at the company event, even better. however, later he was involved in a fire and saved several people, and later saved so bong who came to beg her old job back because she found out shin was collaborating with the reporter who asked so bong to take pictures secretly in exchange for money. he was almost caught by so bong as his back was exposed due to the fire, but young hoon and dr. laura managed to save him in time. later at the company, so bong cried her heart to beg her job back (later we found out the reason was so bon agreed to be jeong gil's inside person) and nam shin III acted as he was taught to do, hugged the person who cried. and so he did with so bong. and that surprised many people. at the end, so bong was hired back as nam shin III personal bodyguard while young hoon warned nam shin III to act like the real shin. problem didn't stop there as shin's grandpa told shin III to just marry his fiancee, seo ye na (park hwan hee) who was jeong gil's daughter as well. jeong gil opposed to the marriage contract but ye na insisted to proceed with the marriage plan.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">however, ye na found out the truth about shin condition and agreed to play along as long as she got to marry shin. at work, the self driving car project that shin was working on got some trouble because of a hacker hired by jeong gil. the road test failed as the car went crazy, shin III tried to save both the car and more people and stopped it in time before it crashed into a big truck. however, that accident exposed his back again, and this time so bong saw it clearly. dr. oh immediately dragged them both along with young hoon to repair shin III. so bong at first was reluctant to help shin III, and planned to sell the secret to jeong gil. but later she decided to help shin III. as problems kept popping up here and there, so bong was the only one that knew shin III's secret as well as the only one that could help him aside from young hoon obviously. since shin III was heavily relied on so bong, that made so bong felt something else toward the robot. on the other hand, both shin's mom started to shift. she became more concern that shin's condition were out in public, and even installed a kill switch in case the real shin woke up and they had to get rid the AI. david became angry and told so bong about it. so bong begged dr. oh to get rid of the kill switch, but she didn't budge.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">there were problems with shin's grandpa as well. first time he tried to deceive people by acting like he got dementia, but shin III found out that he was lying. but then shin III found out that grandpa was really got dementia and helped him to cover the condition from the real shin. we also found out that so bong got kidnapped on shin's wedding day and make shin III to save so bong even though it meant that he had to expose himself. however, later we found out that grandpa got something to do with shin III's development as shin III's server was inside grandpa's company building. later when shin woke up, he was angry because his mom got his substitute running around and everyone believed that the robot was him. shin also confused everyone since he kept popping up here and there, causing scenes, even young hoon and so bong got confused to tell the difference between them, aside from shin's battery watch.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">shin was even angry enough to steal the manual override and he ordered shin III to choke his grandfather. luckily, so bong caught him on time and even managed to persuade shin III just in time before she was injured as well. however, shin became angrier. he then collided with jeong gil to get rid of grandpa and even threatened his aunt to give up her shares. however, young hoon started to realize that the real shin must be stopped. together with so bong and shin III, they managed to steal grandpa's shares that was stole by shin the first time, and later exposed shin III at the company meeting. completely defeated, jeong gil was fired, while shin disappeared for awhile only to find that there was a kill switch. at that time, dr. oh finally realized that she was wrong to put shin III as number two, and that she should treat them both the same. so she handed the kill switch to shin III and so bong. but shin stole the kill switch and activated it.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at the end dr. oh sacrificed herself and tried to undo the kill switch but she could only postponed it. shin III also sacrificed himself to save shin and so bong from jeong gil. jeong gil was arrested, ye na moved to US to live with her mom. young hoon became CEO and fast forward couple years later, so bong was still crying over shin III. shin tried to pose as shin III to cheer so bong but his plan backfired. at the end, we saw that shin used his money to search and repair shin III together with david and they let shin III back with so bong. however, shin III was not as sophisticated as he used to be, and he became more human now since at last we saw he could shed a tear.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i love:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- gee.. this plot was better. they kept the AI as the winner and not let the human jerk win. though the idea of loving an AI is impossible, but watching so bong's true love for shin III is so moving. i bet everyone would root for shin III.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- thumbs up for seo kang joon. he managed to portray different personality for the AI and the human shin. as human, shin was a brute ruthless and emotionless human because he was left under his grandpa's care who didn't care for anyone else as long as his company would keep surviving. while shin III was a loving and caring AI who grew up under the love of his creator, dr. oh. i guess it's a way showing that a mother's love truly change someone. even though that it's just an AI.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- all actors were good, however, i don't like the child actor that play shin I/little shin. he was too stiff, but i guess considering he's still a child, it's understandable.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- can the makeup artist tone down the makeup? they make so bong and shin looked so white. you can tell the shade difference. why don't they put on usual makeup like young hoon? or david? it looks more natural that way. and shin was hit by a truck. can't they put on more bandages on him? he should look like a mummy after being involved in big accident like that.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- the usual power struggle plot. from the grandfather, to shin's dad suicide/killing to shin/shin III vs jeong gil. i have to agree what young hoon said to grandpa, that he didn't envy grandpa's life because he was always suspicious to other people. and he became lonely at the end. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br holo love<div style="text-align: left;">i've been watching my holo love teaser in my netflix feed, and since i have nothing to watch, i decided to watch it. i only have seen the female actress, so i romantic melodrama</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">han so yeon is an ordinary worker at a eyewear company. she didn't have many friends at work because she hid the truth about her condition, that she had face blindness. her life was ordinary until she found a weird glasses in her bag. however, it's not an ordinary glasses. it was a holo glass. the moment she put on the glasses, she could see a holo in form of a human being. the company named the hologram image as holo (yoon hyun min), but nobody knew that the holo was made according to the portrait of its founder, go nan do (yoon hyun min).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">nan do was planning to take back the glasses, but there's an incident, so he retreated. he told his adoptive sister goo yoo jin (choi yeo jin) that they were going to do a beta test for holo and asked her sister to postponed the launch date as well as talked to the investors. yoo jin has been posing as the creator of holo since nan do has been living in the shadow since high school. in the past, nan do hacked korean government system and was chased by the cop, so he decided to fake his death, thus living in the shadow since then. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">holo caught up that so yeon had face blindness so he's been helping her to recognize faces at work. suddenly her coworkers opened up to her as she warmed up to them herself. holo also caught up that so yeon had a crush on her coworker, and offered to be her love guide. while nan do was surprised hearing holo's ideas. mainly because holo was the first one that recognize so yeon when yoo jin was being chased so she hid the glasses in so yeon's bag per holo's suggestion. now holo was being initiative again, offering help to so yeon as his love tutor. nan do was curious why so yeon changed holo's program, so he asked yoo jin to prolong the beta test. he even moved as so yeon's next door neighbour, and he discovered so yeon's condition since so yeon didn't recognize him, even though he had the same face as holo. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">since holo was a most wanted AI program, so yeon's life has been in danger as well. the love plan fell apart as holo program's was attacked when so yeon was about to confess about holo's existence to her love crush, as well as her face blindness condition. her love crush didn't believe about her confession that all this time she was only talking to holo, and not to other guy. nan do then tried to replace holo with himself, torturing himself in the process as holo didn't need to eat, drink or sleep, but nan do did. anyway, in the process so yeon fallen in love with holo, while nan do acted weirdly since holo started to show interest in so yeon, making yoo jin confused as nan do has been super rational, but became weird because of so yeon. so yeon then confessed to holo about her feeling, and nan do at first was against holo and so yeon, but later let holo lived his own way. he planned to make another holo version, so the original holo became so yeon's solely, and the one that got marketed is another holo. however, as time went by, so yeon felt there was something missing in her relationship with holo. even though holo has been super gentle and caring, he was, after all, just a hologram, not a real human being. while nan do on the other hand, started to feel attracted to so yeon as well. we saw then that apparently, nan do was a little boy that happened to live next door to so yeon, and nan do's mom often let nan do played, ate and slept at so yeon's house when his mother was working.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">yoo jin realized the change in nan do, and told nan do that he created holo in order to replace his mother. nan do's mother died when nan do was very little, and they assumed nan do's mom was having suicide. nan do was feeling betrayed as he was going on picnic when his mom was found dead. he felt abandoned by his mom, so he made holo as his only loving and caring friend. and he let his only friend to be with so yeon, because he loved so yeon as well. anyway, danger was coming closer. magic mirror, nan do's competitor, played dirty. they kidnapped so yeon, and nan do, who was helped by holo, managed to save so yeon. at that time, so yeon suddenly could see nan do's face (as well as holo). apparently, so yeon's condition was psychological. she was under extreme stress that she couldn't see faces anymore. and the doctor said it would come back once the problem was solved. but so yeon couldn't pinpoint the real reason why she couldn't see faces anymore. we just saw glimpses of her past, while she was having picnic with her parents, she saw something horrible that made her suffer face blindness afterward.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">as so yeon realized that she liked nan do as well, and probably even better since nan do was a real human being, while holo wasn't, she began to compare between the two. she even said to holo that they should stop being a couple as holo wasn't real. that rejection sent holo to isolation. his program was getting error. feeling guilty, so yeon offered her help to nan do. but things were getting weird. while on the other hand, yoo jin got some intel from baek chan sung (hwang chan sung), director of magic mirror as well as the son of the CEO, that his dad was the one that might be behind the accident of nan do and so yeon (nan do was almost killed in motorcycle accident, while so yeon was kidnapped). the police became suspicious of nan do as well because both accidents were saved by holo's hacking into the security system, and that violated the law. nan do managed to dodge the first time, but chan sung's father used his influence so the police tried to arrest nan do.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">nan do then had to give up holo. chan sung's father commercialised holo, so yeon felt holo was different, so she became reluctant to use holo. nan do went into hiding. then he hacked magic mirror's program, causing big problem to magic mirror. the only holo's working was so yeon's. long story short, holo was originally created by nan do's mom, so she put a bit programming left in holo's original command lines, and told holo to protect nan do. that explained why holo was being interested in nan do, because so yeon was the only friend that nan do had back in their childhood. when so yeon and nan do was held in magic mirror building, holo managed to break magic mirror's program to save so yeon and nan do. chan sung finally stood up and fight his father, and at the end, good side won again. unfortunately, holo was found guilty of hacking thus his program must be deleted. fast forward one year later, yoo jin married chan sung, and when they were getting their picture taken, holo was captured in one of the picture. giving hope to nan do that one day holo would come back again.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- though the whole hologram story might not be new, but the way they make the real person falling in love with the holo first is kind of new. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- no thinking needed. all questions were answered. from nan do's mom death mystery to nan do's living in the shadow, as well as so yeon's face blindness problem. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- though in radio romance i complained that the main actor frowned almost the whole drama, but here, i don't like seeing the main smiling. he seems weird while smiling. it's better when he's just being cool. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- i don't feel the chemistry between the main. somehow you can see that there's some awkwardness between them. however, i can feel chan sung's love toward yoo jin. though at first they make so yeon picked the holo, but at the end they kept the usual choice, that so yeon picked nan do at the end and made holo disappeared. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- some actors and actresses were so-so so. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- the plot is simple. in the beginning, it seems interesting. but as times goes by, you can predict the end. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">rating: 7/10</div><div style="text-align: left;">genre: crime mystery, police crime story, a bit fantasy</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">lee ahn (park jin young) was still around 7 years old when fire broke out in their apartment. it was his birthday and he and his parents were about to go to get a dog for him when they were trapped in the elevator. thanks to the apartment security, yoon tae ha (jung suk yong), lee ahn was saved, but both his parents died because the elevator line was cut by the fire. the security then asked kang sung mo (kim kwon), a high school student who lived in the same apartment to bring ahn to safety, while the security tried to save other people. couldn't find exit to save ahn, sung mo decided to jump out the window and landed on the parked cars outside. fast forward, they were both safe, but the police investigation decided the security as the culprit in the case. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">fast forward 12 years later, ahn was in high school and he met yoon jae in (shin ye eun) by accident. she thought he was the peeping tom in the public toilet and apprehended him to the police. later he got out thanks to eun ji soo (kim da som), a police detective that has been close to him and his adoptive big brother, sung mo. apparently, after the fire incident, ahn got a weird gift. when he came in contact with other people's skin, he could see other people's past. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">ahn was accused stealing the school test's key answer, and he got two days to prove that he's not the culprit. jae in was dragged as well because she was furious with the teacher as he told them that certain stereotype wasn't meant to be successful in life. both of them managed to solve the case in their own way. but the culprit was the discriminating teacher that challenged them in the first place. getting fired made him to do revenge. jae in who was hiding her secret about her past life regarding her dad, had to face her fear once again that forced her into hiding once again. fortunately, before she went awol, she found out that ahn had psychometry ability and her patron was sung mo. apparently, ahn, jae in, and sung mo had been put into the same orphanage, thus the link between them started to show. anyway, just before she disappeared, sung mo and ji soo was working on a fire case in the hospital. the method was similar to the apartment's fire case 12 years ago, but sung mo found a witness that say otherwise. ji soo's father, the police commissioner, ordered the case closed quickly. but later they found the witness was dead, so another dead end and another unanswered question. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">fast forward two years later, ahn was trying to get into the police academy and was about to cheat using his psychometry ability when jae in stopped him. jae in got into the police academy and became a probationary officer. however, she got into trouble when she was trying to gather evidence regarding his father's case. she was then placed in a remote security office. both of them tried to find a girl when ahn did psychometry in the river and found a dead body in a luggage instead. the case linked to the hospital fire's case and the whole investigation started. both sung mo and ji soo tried to give ahn another chance to use his psychometry ability and sung mo even ordered jae in to train ahn since ahn's ability has increased since he met jae in again. even ahn managed to read sung mo sometimes, while this whole time ahn couldn't read sung mo at all.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">long story short, they found out that the body in the baggage case was related to the hospital fire. there was another name that was related to the case, and it was kang eun joo (jeon mi seon). they also found the killer of the hospital fire's witness might be the real culprit of the apartment fire case. ji soo tried to re-open the case but her father was strongly against it. she was grounded because of that. ahn managed to read sung mo's thing and found out that sung mo had a dark past regarding his dad and his mom. his dad was also related to the kid slave ring in the subway, another case that sung mo closed recently. his dad name was kang geun taek (lee seung joon), but he wasn't registered as legal citizen, hence there's no way to track him. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">kang geun taek kidnapped kang eun joo since her teen days and somehow she managed to give birth to sung mo. both sung mo and his mom never saw the light of days. even when sung mo and his mom managed to run away, the police couldn't do anything because his father wasn't a registered citizen. that makes sung mo and his mom had to move every time his father found them. that night of the apartment's fire, kang geun taek managed to find their home. at first all of them thought that kang eun joo was died in the fire, but later we found out that sung mo managed to sneak kang eun joo out of the country but then she got back after sung mo found out the kid slave ring.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">gee.. it was a back and forth plot that makes us think kang geun taek was behind both fire cases. but ahn managed to read the truth when sung mo was missing. ji soo tried to catch kang geun taek but got shot and then died. ahn was feeling guilty because he read sung mo's position and asked ji soo to get there before him. ji soo's father realized his fault and decided to re open both fire cases, letting out the truth that there was a corruption in the apartment development's that linked to the fire case, even though at the end he knew he would be arrested because he was involved in that case in the first place. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">at the end, a heartbreaking truth came out. kang geun taek was arrested, sung mo came out and met his mom, but later we found out the ugly truth about sung mo. his mother testified in kang geun taek's case. ahn's collapsed when he read all those things from the fire cases, so jae in then refrained him from reading murder cases anymore. he then tried the right way to join the police academy, while jae in got promoted after solving those cases. yoon tae ha was released from prison and got his name recovered. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- quite twisting plot. they led us to believe kang geun taek was the culprit up until almost the end. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- all of the actors and actresses were good. though in the first few episodes, both jin young and ye eun was a bit weird, both their acting got better at the end. i was wondering though, why i never saw other kim kwon's drama considering he's quite good.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">what i don't like:</div><div style="text-align: left;">- another corruption behind police department and prosecutor again. </div><div style="text-align: left;">- i still don't get why sung mo had to help ahn and jae in. ain't that too cruel considering the ending? but i do like how they make sung mo a bit opened up as ahn's power getting stronger. it makes him a little bit like human for a few episodes.</div><div style="text-align: left;">- can't they tie the doctor's hair and the female police's hair in the drama? ain't that would mess with the evidence? gee... all of them (aside from jae in) has long hair.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">rating: 7/10</div><div lost their apartment and had to move back to their old house, which made ju kyung had to transfer school.</div><div><br /></div><div>determined not to be bullied again because of her appearance, ju kyung learned how to put on makeup by binge-watching a famous youtuber, selena. she managed to succeed in her new school. all of her friends think that she's naturally pretty, but she knows that she's ugly underneath all that makeup. in her new school, there are two famous boys, one is lee suho, whom ju kyung has met before but she didn't know it yet, and the other one is han seo jun (hwang in yeop). they were best friends before, but due to some unrevealed reason (yet), they became apart and even almost like enemy. outside school, ju kyung has met su ho in her comic rental place without makeup comfortably, thinking that su ho wouldn't find out that she is the "pretty" ju kyung from school. but su ho did. so when ju kyung found out that su ho knew about her true face, she became a running errand girl for su ho, in order to prevent su ho from telling the truth about her appearance at school. while su ho, apparently has started to have feelings for her, thought that this way could make her closer to him, but he was wrong. unfortunately, seo jun caught up that su ho had feelings for ju kyung and made ju kyung his target too. however, seo jun also started to fall in love with ju kyung as well. outside school, ju kyung's mom and seo jun's mom were friends and they lived nearby, that makes things more complicated.</div><div><br /></div><div>ju kyung unknowingly helped seo jun's little sister, goo won, when she was being bullied for being ugly by her peers in the choir and put on makeup for her when she was about to performed. watching goo won's performance, ju kyung's little brother, ju young has crush on her. while ju kyung's older sister, has crush on ju kyung's homeroom teacher. ju kyung herself, managed to make friends with kang soo jin (park yoo na) and choi soo ah (kang min ah). kang soo jin is second in school, she lost to su ho and got beaten by her dad because of it. soo jin's family were close to su ho's family as well, but her father didn't like that su ho's dad became rich because of his entertainment company, and not like himself, a respectable doctor. while soo ah is a cheerful and cute girl, who has on and off relationship with yoo tae hoon (lee il jun).</div><div><br /></div><div>at school's camp, things got complicated as su ho wanted to confess to ju kyung. while seo jun knew about it and tried to make su ho jealous. while soo jin started to realize her feelings for su ho and couldn't believe that su ho had a crush on someone else. she also managed to find out about ju kyung's secret but decided to keep ju kyung's secret at first. su ho and ju kyung became closer and even though it was complicated, su ho managed to confess his feelings to ju kyung, and seo jun for the first time let ju kyung to be with su ho and chose not to confess his feeling. su ho and ju kyung became a couple but upon ju kyung's request, they kept it a secret and it annoyed su ho, since they couldn't do things couples do freely. </div><div><br /></div><div>then a mayhem happened at su ho's dad company. hee kyung (ju kyung's older sister) found out that the company plagiarized a song composed by leo (it was su ho's secret name) and used it without permit hence confronted su ho's dad about it and told him the truth behind the suicide incident of jung se yeon (kang chan hee). the manager in su ho's dad company decided to let out the bullying rumour around se yeon to cover the scandal of su ho's dad. su ho who came running, heard that and couldn't believe that his dad had involved in the incident. seo jun who came last, confronted su ho without knowing that su ho has been shocked enough to learn the truth and came running toward the busy street, chased by seo jun, and later both got into car accident.</div><div><br /></div><div>ju kyung came running to the hospital upon hearing su ho's accident, without makeup, without thinking, crying her heart to a man under the blanket, but she was wrong. it wasn't su ho but seo jun. didn't want seo jun to find out about her secret, she covered her face and su ho who came seconds later told seo jun that ju kyung was his cousin. later both of them got back together in the hospital (yep, they were broke up for awhile because su ho wanted their relationship to be out in the open but ju kyung wasn't ready yet). ju kyung also confessed about their relationship to soo jin who seemed okay with it at first, but later we found out that soo jin still wanted to win over su ho. soo jin later found out that ju kyung was bullied by se mi in her old school, conspiring with se mi and uploaded ju kyung's old photo and videos in the school's website, along with her new picture hugging su ho. </div><div><br /></div><div>the entire school found out both ju kyung's secret, her old ugly face and her relationship with su ho. shocked by the incident, she ran out, leaving su ho devastated looking for her. while seo jun tracked soo jin and confronted her as the one that uploaded the photos, and even the webmaster and threatened her to take down the photos and video. while ju young (ju kyung's little brother) stepped up and punched his friends who made jokes about ju kyung's ugly face. he might teased his sister at home, but at school, he became her secret defender. even her homeroom teacher, broke up with hee kyung for a bit, because he thought ju kyung was shocked after finding out his relationship with hee kyung. but later he found out that wasn't the case and asked ju kyung's mom to school and told her everything about the bullying.</div><div><br /></div><div>sad after learning the truth, ju kyung's mom tried to bring ju kyung to a plastic surgeon but backed out after hearing that ju kyung needed to re-do her entire face. however, ju kyung finally came in peace with her old self. she braced herself and went to school the next day bare face. luckily, her classmates were supportive of her choice. soo ah who seemed angry at first, turned out she was furious because ju kyung told her secret to soo jin and not her, thinking that soo ah might leave her because of her ugly face. soo ah also confronted soo jin and told her to apologize to ju kyung. yay to no bullying!</div><div><br /></div><div>anyway.. soo jin's plan backlashes at her as in the next few days, there was news about soo jin betrayed ju kyung in the school website, leaving soo jin feeling ashamed. seo jun and su ho got back together and seo jun initially asked su ho's permission to admit his feeling to ju kyung in order for him to move on, but his plan didn't work. su ho's dad got back to the US but then got brain hemorrhage so su ho had to fly to the US immediately, leaving ju kyung behind. at first they decided to do LDR, but as su ho's dad condition worsen suddenly and the doctor couldn't predict whether he's going to recover or not, su ho decided to break up with ju kyung as he thought it would be unfair for ju kyung to wait for him.</div><div><br /></div><div>two years later, without any update from su ho, ju kyung graduated, got an internship in selena beauty shop, while ju young became closer to go woon. seo jun trained back in su ho's dad company under hee kyung's wing and was about to make his debut. when ju kyung was drunk, he accidentally confess his feeling to ju kyung and asked for 5 dates. but after 1 date, su ho came back. he met ju kyung accidentally in namsan. oh yeah, ju kyung found out that su ho was the crybaby boy back in the comic store when they were just little and she finally remembered him. su ho tried to get back with ju kyung but ju kyung denied her feeling at first. but when seo jun told her that su ho was going to go back to the US, ju kyung couldn't deny her feeling and ran to su ho's house. i guess you can guess the rest of the story.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- i guess the moral story is how you should accept yourself. you might be born ugly but you might have a bright personality. in this story, you can see how it's not about ju kyung accepting herself, but also her friends accepting as how she is. like su ho who doesn't mind about her appearance. he loves her just as is.</div><div>- this story brings up about bullying in school again. i guess considering how bullying became trends nowadays, they have to make several dramas talking about bullying in order to stop kids from thinking it's cool. but i guess it won't matter if the school doesn't do anything about it. in my time, bullying were considered natural stuff to toughen you up, and most teachers have the similar opinion about it. so unless the school teachers and staffs have more updated opinion about it, then bullying will still happen at school.</div><div>- this is another story of family love, like how ju kyung's dad teamed up with her because she's the ugly duck. and how her mother finally understood why ju kyung wanted to learn makeup after hearing about her bullying story. also how her older sister and younger brother protect her with their own ways, despite them sometimes annoy each other at home. we also see family conflict and story in seo jun's family and su ho's. as well as soo jin. </div><div>- talking about soo jin, we see again how they bring up the story of pressure from the upper class family for kids to have good grades, to become doctor or lawyer or other prestigious job. similar to sky castle, but in smaller portion.</div><div>- all the actresses and actors are good. even the supporting ones. and i have to agree, cha eun woo is a webtoon's adaptation specialist. looking at him you'll agree that he looks like he walks out of the webtoon.</div><div>- i don't know i should like it or not. i don't read the webtoon so i don't know how much the scenario is different from the original webtoon. but i do know that in the webtoon, during su ho's absence, ju kyung chose seo jun. while in the drama, ju kyung kept waiting for su ho and at the end, they got back together. as someone who can't deny eun woo's charm, obviously i am #teamsuho. but it must be disappointing for seo jun's fans if you read the webtoon. </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- though i like how they bring up about being able to accept yourself, i can't say i agree that they use "ugly face" as the condition that you have to accept. like the standard is beauty and being ugly is wrong. and how this drama is full of sponsored items, makeup for example. i do get that makeup can enhance your feature, but in this drama, makeup is a way to cover your flaws. and wearing makeup during high school? in my school days, no one wore makeup even in high school.</div><div>- and let's not forget about the two years gap when su ho was MIA. i have my own suspicion about the long gap. one, as high schooler, they won't be able to make happy ending as high schooler still have years ahead in their life. their love story might end. but as an adult, their happy ending is closer. plus they get to make the steamy scene as they're pictured as adult. but as high schooler, sleeping over is outrageous, even though nowadays even asian can accept that most high schoolers are not virgin anymore. second, as high schooler, they probably couldn't accept alcohol beverages as sponsor. but if they were pictured as adult, you can see drinking scenes thus soju appeared in the scene. most of the drama we could only see hee kyung and ju kyung's parents drinking. but they were just supporting ones. so i bet the sponsorship would want the mains to do the drinking scene. that's why probably they jumped into adult life so they can have drinking scenes. but again.. these are my suspicion. </div><div>- if they want to make his father to undergo brain surgery, at least shave his head! or make him suffer from another disease. i bet you've watched enough medical drama to understand that you have to shave the hair for brain surgery!</div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 9/10</div><div>binge worthy: yes.</div><div>recommended for: the fans of the webtoon or interested in the webtoon but haven't read it yet, fans of eun woo, moon ga yeong and hwang in youp, don't mind high school love story which is usually a bit cheesy.</div>Nikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16075399847172075758noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435025837855310554.post-68513503913107146402021-02-18T08:56:00.003-08:002021-02-18T08:56:28.442-08:00radio romancei was finished watching love alarm and obviously netflix would recommend me another kim so hyun's drama, so i decided to watch radio romance. i was interested when i saw the synopsis, but i was forcing myself to finish it. call me weird, but somehow i'm getting irritated by the list of my "continue to watch" in netflix. those dramas or film were boring, so i lost interest watching them. but this one, though it's not my favorite, but i managed to finish it just so it would be gone from the list. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a top actor from a well known family. his dad is a veteran actor, and her mom is the CEO of their entertainment company. though they look like a happy and enviable family, the truth is it's all just an act. his father involved in a scandal with younger actress while his mom was not his birth mom, and she has been putting up with her husband's scandal for way too long. and soo ho himself, got depressed and couldn't sleep without sleeping pills. </div><div><br /></div><div>while song geu rim (kim so hyun) is an assistant writer in a radio, but it was her dream to become a writer. unfortunately, she has been a running errand girls rather than achieving her dream as a writer. moreover, her previous DJ has been MIA and then ran away, leaving her team disbanded and suspended for awhile. but then PD lee kang (yoon park) showed up. he was a legendary PD in the radio company. his program was always a hit before he took a leave and went to india. he then was chosen to save the radio company and gathered another team. he put together geu rim and go hoon jung (jo byung gyu) under his wing. his first idea was casting a top actor as their DJ, and soo ho was his pick.</div><div><br /></div><div>geu rim then tried her best to cast soo ho. seeing her persistent effort, he decided to give it a try. but apparently that's not his reason to give in. back in his childhood days, apparently soo ho had met geu rim in a hospital. back when geu rim mother has just an eye surgery that left her blind, geu rim was learning how to live with a blind person, so she took a class there and had her eyes blindfolded. at that time, she met soo ho with blindfold on so she almost never saw his face. apparently soo ho was falling in love with geu rim back in the days and he was annoyed that she forgot about him when she met him again. </div><div><br /></div><div>problem rose when soo ho's mom tried to control soo ho's life, while soo ho for once wanted to do the radio thing for himself. long story short, soo ho managed to succeed as radio DJ, while geu rim managed to be a competent writer under lee kang's guidance. their love triangle story also began there. soo ho tried to swoon geu rim while pd kang apparently also had feeling for her. however, geu rim managed to remember soo ho as her first love thus accepting soo ho's feeling for her. </div><div><br /></div><div>however, their relationship had to face several blocks. from soo ho's legal mom disapproval to their relationship being out in public. and also soo ho's past. there was another boy in both soo ho and geu rim's past. soo ho was hospitalized because he took too many sleeping pills, even as a boy. he then met a boy who had terminal disease and made friend with him. that boy had crush on geu rim first, and he told soo ho that he was going to confess his feeling when he won the singing contest. soo ho was their mailman at first, but then soo ho began to develop feelings for her as well and he even kissed her first, but that boy saw soo ho kissing geu rim. then soo hoo, who was feeling guilty, didn't want to meet the boy and the boy came rushing across the street and got hit instead. he was died and soo ho was feeling guilty up until he met geu rim again.</div><div><br /></div><div>geu rim then found out that her first love was indeed soo ho, but the other one was the one that sent her letters. soo ho who still kept the letter, gave it to geu rim, and then found out that the boy had found out that soo ho had feeling for geu rim and he decided to give up. his next letters were apparently for soo ho. feeling relieved from his guilt, he finally could move on with his relationship with geu rim. soo ho life also got upside down because his father scandal was out in public, he decided not to cover up for his parents anymore and admitted that their perfect family life was all a lie. but at the end, his dad was the one that's not up for family thing, while soo ho kept in touch with his legal mom, who was changed at the end. on the side, we also see how soo ho's managed got a love story as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- well, at least they fill in the gap for all the questions in the drama. </div><div>- at least his manager got better love story and more exciting/lively that soo ho's. and could we let his manager teach him a thing or two about how to handle a girl? </div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- gee... i can't believe someone could actually frown almost all episodes of the drama. if you watched, you'd see that i'm talking about soo ho. up until he was in the clear with his parents and his childhood guilt, soo ho was always frown and cold. until probably couple last episodes, we then start to see him smile. </div><div>- the story is boring. pretty flat. with all the problems from his childhood, his parents and this love triangle, all of them don't help with the pretty boring storyline. </div><div>- i know that kim soo hyun is a child actress and she is a veteran, but still. ain't she not in her adult year when she filmed this drama? then why filmed her as an adult, with all the drinking scenes and stuff? </div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 6/10</div><div>binge worthy: no</div><div>recommended for: those who don't have anything to watch, fans of kim so hyun and maybe yoon do joon. alarm<div style="text-align: left;">this might not be my best decision to watch this series, but i was curious about song kang. especially since sweet home is trending right now. i don't like horror series, so i won't watch sweet home, so i guess love alarm would be a good option for now. i know that kim so hyun is a veteran actress considering her age, but somehow i'm not interested in watching her dramas, so i guess this is the first time. anyway, i thought it would be done in 8 episodes, but i'm not doing my research completely. turns out there would be a season 2. so let's talk about season 1 for now.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a width="270" /></a></div>title: love alarm<div>cast: song kang, kim so hyun, jung ga ram, go min si</div><div>genre: romantic melodrama, teen/youth drama</div><div><br /></div><div>kim jo jo (kim so hyun) is a hardworking girl who apparently has a dark past. both her parents were dead due to tragic incident in the past, leaving her to pay her parents' debt to her aunty. she has several part time jobs to pay the debt, her "grandma" hospital bill, as well as her personal needs. anything else isn't important for her. at first we knew that she was in a relationship with il sik (shin seung ho), a judo player. jo jo also has to endure park gul mi (go min si)'s torture, since she is her cousin who lives under the same roof as her.</div><div><br /></div><div>while hwang sun oh (song kang) is a famous teen model who grew up in a rich family, but apparently his family isn't that enviable. his dad is a congressman and all he cared about is the family status in front of public eyes. while his mom is a former actress who only cares about her fame. luckily, in his dysfunctional family, he found a best friend, lee hye yeong (jung ga ram). hye yeong is the son of sun oh's family helper who both live under the same roof as sun oh. </div><div><br /></div><div>sun oh was attracted to kim jo jo from the first sight, and he was curious about her as she seemed to be unaffected by his handsomeness as well as his popularity. then enter love alarm. an application that would notify you whenever someone has romantic feeling for you within 10 meter radius from you. problems start to arise because of this application. gul mi was hoping that sun oh would ring her love alarm, but turned out it was cheong duk gu (lee jae eung) who rang hers and it disgusted her that she turned him down flat right away, hurting duk gu's feeling. gul mi didn't know that duk gu was the secret developer of love alarm (until the end, they hasn't revealed duk gu as the developer yet).</div><div><br /></div><div>while sun oh, who in the first place, was only interested in kim jo jo because he saw that hye yeong had feeling for jo jo, finally intrigued by her as well. he openly told hye yeong about his feeling for jo jo and both decided that the decision is up to jo jo. while il sik was excited about his love alarm ring, thinking that it was jo jo, while the truth was it was kim jung go (z.hera) who rang his. jo jo then broke up with il sik after il sik found out about jo jo kissing sun oh. while il sik later found out about jung go's feeling but told her to get rid of her feeling.</div><div><br /></div><div>sun oh pressed jo jo to download the app to find out whether or not jo jo likes him back. and jo jo did. both their love alarm rang confirming that they both had feelings for each other, leaving hye yeong heartbroken but he decided to respect jo jo's choice and backed up. their relationship brought problem as gul mi tried her best to separate them, spreading rumors and stuff. while on the school trip to jeju, there was a fire accident that led jo jo back to her past, remembering her parents death which was apparently from suicide. jo jo was almost died with her parents as well, but she managed to escape and went to "grandma"'s house (i guess grandma was just a neighbour but loved her as her own grandchildren). her classmates surprised finding jo jo's traumatic response and the rumor led jo jo to run away with sun oh. while on their way back, they got into accident.</div><div><br /></div><div>fast forward four years later, we find that jo jo broke up with sun oh, telling him that she didn't love him anymore because she was afraid that their relationship could hurt her and sun oh as well. she downloaded the shield given by duk gu and once she downloaded it, she could cover her feeling and her crush's love alarm won't ring anymore. sun oh shocked when he saw that jo jo didn't ring his love alarm anymore and went back to the US, but later came back to korea with a new girlfriend whom he didn't love. while hye yeong was about to go to an internship when he encountered jo jo again. he decided not to back down and confessed his feeling to jo jo, leaving jo jo confused. </div><div><br /></div><div>sun oh couldn't believe that jo jo didn't love him anymore, pushing jo jo to reject hye yeoung as well. sun oh was afraid that jo jo would later dump hye yeong as jo jo did to him. while jo jo couldn't say anything because part of her still loved sun oh, but part of her started to feel comfortable with hye yeong. sun oh asked proof from love alarm, but jo jo couldn't tell that her love alarm won't ring anyone because of the shield. the series ended at the launch of love 2.0. sun oh and his girlfriend was invited to the launch, while jo jo got mysterious invitation. she came to ask the developer to get rid of the shield to find out her own feeling. while hye yeong came rushing to catch jo jo. at the end, sun oh's girlfriend got a kick in the gut because she saw that sun oh did ring someone else's love alarm, jo jo's. and jo jo still got two hearts, one from sun oh, one from hye yeong. who will she choose? sun oh or hye yeong?</div><div><br /></div><div>what i like:</div><div>- the new idea that using an application could help you confess your feeling quicker. though it might get ugly as well. in the drama we saw that some boys got confused as their rang other boys' alarm. they became disgusted in themselves as they never thought that they liked the same sex.</div><div>- well written plot. in the beginning we see sweet love story between two teenagers, but then as they grew up, it got complicated. i can't wait how they plot the second season, as the big question is already there from the first season.</div><div>- at first i thought the aunt would be like the park so dam's stepmother in "cinderella and the four knights". but i was wrong. when she found out that gul mi stole jo jo's money, she agreed to jo jo's term and scolded gul mi for using money that wasn't hers. i guess there's still justice in jo jo's life.</div><div>- all the actors and actresses were good, even the supporting ones. i like jo jo teacher in particular. he was care about jo jo and pretty intuitive too. and the outfit were okay i guess. humble and simple clothing for those who in need for money, but flashy outfit for sun oh and his family.</div><div><br /></div><div>what i don't like:</div><div>- another story about love triangle and dysfunctional family. at least this time hye yeong was pretty brave, for stepping down at first. and the dysfunctional family is not the main center of the story. but it might changed in the second season.</div><div>- why they have to make it so short? but i have to say the writer is quite genius for putting a solid story in 8 episodes.</div><div><br /></div><div>rating: 8/10</div><div>binge worthy: might be</div><div>recommended for: those who like teen love story, love song kang and kim so hyun, and don't mind getting curious about the ending.</div>Nikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16075399847172075758noreply@blogger.com0
